C.T.F.O.

Spotify has been something of a revelation to me. All of music, always available, in any order I want. I listen to NPR's All Songs Considered podcast, and for years my methodology has been to compile as list of things that sound interesting, audition the album on iTunes and then buy. Those 30 second snippets were pretty hard to judge a record by, however, and I still ended up buying stinkers here and there. Spotify allows me to listen to an entire album and figure out if I like it. Grooveshark did before that as well, but Spotify has EVERYTHING. Including the latest from Sebastian, C.T.F.O., as in Chill the * Out. Why do I like this song? Ugh.

Which reminds me of the time in college, where I thought it was ironic (and fun!) to play Crucified by Army of Lovers at a college dance. Calvin College. As in John Calvin.

So historically, I've had these gigantically public lapses of judgement that result in me cringing to myself years later.

Who knows, perhaps sharing this information now is one gigantic gaffe.

BTW, I just called up Crucified on Spotify, and it's pretty awful. Not necessarily lyrically, but musically. What a train wreck.
