Weigh Down 2009

Jan 08, 2009 09:34

You get that the title is a pun, yes?

So I went swimming again yesterday. Gabe's on the TCAC team, so it makes it relatively easy for us all to go to the pool together. Joe didn't feel like swimming away from us at first. He and Noah are old enough to be supervised by the (oh so happy) lifeguards around the splash zone, but he felt he would best enjoy swimming with me. Attached to him. As there were no lanes open to lap swim, we played with the kids for half an hour. Then, a lane open, and we ditched those kids like yesterday's clothes, and hit the lane fast.

This is my one major gripe about swimming for exercise. You end up becoming this lane stalker, watching the other swimmers for signs that they'll be leaving, and they never do. I'm just not comfortable enough with my abilities to swim in a lane with someone other that Shelly. If I'm going to collide, I'd like it to be with her.

So, food:

• two pieces of wheat toast, smart balance and marmalade
• two pieces of crazy holiday bread that our friend Lisa made. mmm.
• two cookies
• chinese food, but really only plate full and some appetizers
• green beans
• summer sausage (3 pieces)
• neufchatel cheese (3 tablespoons?)
• two pieces of pork tenderloin

So Shelly made a pork tenderloin for dinner, except that it wasn't ready in time for dinner, so we snacked on the sides and leftover summer sausage. That was weird, but fun! The kids like snacky dinner anyhoo. After swimming, everyone was famished, so we each ate a bit of the tenderloin before retiring.

Weight:

I forgot to weigh myself this morning. For shame!
