(no subject)
Here it is Jan 4th and I wonder where 2008 went.
Last year just zoomed by. I had a few sales on houses but not enough to keep my bank account looking good. So this year I will have to push more and force myself to seek out buyers and sellers. I'm just not a pushy person so it's hard for me. I need to get into the office more and network more.
My boys are doing good. Lots has happened with the oldest. His uncle kicked him out of the house he was living in because he decided he didn't want dogs in the house. My son has two large dogs. He (the uncle) said that he had to get rid of the dogs if he wanted to stay. So there was a huge scramble to find a place to put the dogs. The first place should have been good but the woman just wasn't totally truthful. She kept them in a spare bedroom, which wouldn't have been to awful but these dogs need to go outside and play and go to the bathroom. Then she wanted my son to pay to replace the carpet in that room. My son is staying with his dad while he tries to find a place where he can have his dogs. Not at his dad's place mind you. His dad refused to have the dogs because they are pitbull and pitbull mixed. He says all pitbulls should be killed. Mind you he did have to respond to a call one time where a pitbull mauled a 5 year old child so he hasn't been able to get that out of his mind. My son's uncle also fired him from the office he worked in. I know that sounds like I'm thinking the uncle is petty but the uncle fired his own son too. He is separating himself from our family completely. He is working towards being an ex husband of my sister's. Honestly I think he has flipped out. He has become a hermit and he use to be a social butterfly. He doesn't see any of his old friends or anyone for that fact. My youngest son is not happy with the oldest living with him and his dad. They are both jealous of each other. The youngest is still going to school to get his degree. So not a lot has changed with the youngest.
My mom has sold her house and bought another one. She now is maybe 10 minutes from my sis and I. It's so funny because she goes somewhere everyday. So she is getting out, where when she lived in Chatsworth there was nothing close enough to where she could do this. Her dogs are still with her. One of her dogs has gone off the deep end. The dog has a problem with my mom going anywhere. She is doing things she use to never do. Things like taking food off the table or countertops or out of the trash. She drinks all the water no matter how much is put down and the same with the food. The other two are fine.
My sister is getting better and starting to let go of her husband. She seems to be on a great even kile now. I was worried about her for a time as she was losing way too much weight. She was starting to look sick.
As for me, Chuck and I was still quite happy and things are going good. Well other than medical stuff (female stuff) going on with me. I'm tired of having a period. I think having one for the whole month less 3 days is way to much. Those 3 days weren't even consecutive. It's hell when you don't have the money nor insurance to take care of things like this.
Marvin the cat loves to annoy Chuck. He also loves to play with him. Marvin is very jealous of attention that Chuck gives me. When Marvin climbs up and lays in my lap you can see him giving Chuck a smug look. Joey the dog is being a jack russell. He and Marvin but heads often. Marvin steals Joey's blanket and Joey refuses to lay down with the cat.
Today there will be a wedding. My nephew Josh is getting married and then he has to head back to Fort Campbell with his new wife. I'll go ahead and gripe about the wedding and haven't even gotten there yet. There is no parking at the place. I mean really what kind of business has no parking? They told me there was parking on the street but no guarantees any would be open as they are in a residential area. Excuse me? No parking? Oh but the church next door allows us to use there parking lot. Oh yeah? Well why don't you mention that it's not very close and down hill? So what about parking for the handicapped? Oh we have 2 handicapped parking spaces at the facility. Wow 2! See I know that my mom can't walk up that hill with her knees, the knees kill her on inclines. Then there is the other grandmother who can barely walk in her own home. What about her? Yeah I know both can be dropped off at the door and go in. Have I mentioned it's a rainy day today? Or that the wedding is at 6:00? Umm, what if the church is having service this evening? Then where is the parking? All in all I'd say this was a really poor choice on the brides part.
It's still early but I need to start getting ready for the wedding.
