I feel as if I'm looking at the world from the bottom of the floor

So 2005 is done. This is a good thing. I had to say goodbye to a few too many things in 2005. And 2006 is finally here. It's about time this year rolled around, I've been thinking about it long enough. We rang it in well. I'm feeling optimistic about the rest of it as well. Especially the end of high school thing that is one of the perks of this year. Basically this would be my obligatory I hate going back to school post. I'm already counting down the days until spring break.

But this break was one of the better ones. A few reasons: movies, namely Brokeback Mountain, The Squid and the Whale, Good Night and Good Luck, all of which I saw and were fantastic (and Syriana, but it was just okay) and The Royal Tenebaums, Bottlerocket, Fargo, and No Direction Home, all of which I got for Christmas; also, friends, namely all of the people who I spent New Year's with, all of my GHP buddies I got to hang out with and have an awesome trip to Macon with in honor of Tawny (the greatest roommate ever), and everyone back from college I finally got to visit with; also, concerts, namely the three single greatest Jump, Little Children shows I have been to in my life and for spending time with one of the greatest girls I have ever met in one of the greatest cities on earth.

All right. Now let's get this show on the road.
