I'm 18!
Friday was my birthday, I am now an official adult. (An official adult who cannot reap the benefits of adulthood due to a serious lack of a driver's license. Sigh, someday.)
Friday was a good day. Everyone at school said Happy Birthday and then I had to work. All of the guys at work got me stuff, it was very unexpected but very thoughtful. After work, I went shopping for my friend's baby shower.
Saturday morning, I got up to clean and then went to the baby shower. It was so much fun, I almost miss having a baby around. After that, I came home and cleaned some more before my party. People started showing up at about 6:30 and the last few left at about 12:30. It was SUCH an awesome party, probably the best birthday that I have had. I think the most people that were there at once were about 50. It was so much fun and I got all kinds of awesome stuff. My parents got me a cell phone. I got to pick it out, but they're paying the bill. I offered to split it with them, but my dad is too proud to let me. The cell phone holder was cute too. I got about 5 pairs of flip flops, 8 bottles of nail polish, lots of stuff for my dorm room, and a ton of candy. Everything, and I'm not even kidding, was purple, blue, pink or green. I couldn't have asked for more. Well, actually, I wish that people would have eaten more food, but what can you do...
