Appearance
Better image to be added. Othello is on the tall side with a slim and athletic build. Under his left eye is a small black mole that contrasts well with his pale complexion. Another thing to note would be his bright blue eyes, always brightened by some form of mischievous thought that he has all planned out.
Personality
Meet Othello, the most eccentric playboy in the Royal Family. He’s one of those guys that’s always smiling, laughing, and making a joke. In fact, he smiles and laughs so much, it really is hard to make him angry. For the most part he is rather patient and doesn’t abandon things easily. He doesn’t need to jump into things, especially since everything is going too fast as it is.
To actually understand who the man really is, you have to look back to when he was a child. The kid was hiring hookers at ten years old, which explains the playboy part pretty well. In fact, while he’s leading the hooker back to his house, that’s when he met the love of his life. It was such a strange incident, a man assaulting a girl, but that both led them both into defending her.
So, you see, General Futuba mistook Othello for just some kid. She ends up walking over to him, bending down to check a scratch he got. They end up talking. He says it really is cool that she’s a girl, even though she does look much more like a man. Suddenly, he says that General Futuba should marry him. Needless to say, being ten years older, she thought that this was a joke. In the end they settled on a fight, if he wins he gets to marry her, if he loses then he loses. (Apparently, he has a thing for traps.)
Once he leaves, a friend of hers tells her who that was… Needles to say, she got her ass handed to her.
A week later, they got married. Everything was happy, everything was great, and why wouldn’t he be smiling? When he grew older, Futuba gave birth to a boy, and they named him Yotsuba.
Things can’t always stay happy though. General Futuba refused to kill innocent people, even in battle. Ozu grew very angry because she was defying him. Those were his orders and that was all that mattered to him. So he decided to make an example of General Futuba. She would be an example for anyone who dared to even think of opposing him. He demanded the unthinkable, that Othello was to behead his own love because of he refusal. If he didn’t, well then there would be severe consequences. All of the Army of Hell would be executed mercilessly. Futuba had been his strength, the person whom he wanted to be with the most, but what choice did he have? What choice did they have? Nothing, there was no choice to be made, so he killed her.
But he didn’t stop smiling.
No, he didn’t stop smiling at all. Yes, it hurt like hell, and yes he was so fucking angry because she was gone. Futuba was gone and there was nothing he could have done to stop that from happening.
There was Ororon though. He was the only one who had the courage to stand up to their Father; he was the one who attempted to convince Ozu to not execute her. So he vowed to protect him, unlike his other siblings, who would rather that the boy died rather than live.
After all these years he’s still smiling. When he goes off to find Ororon, he’s quite happy to stay with the two for a while on Earth. (Even though Ororon would rather that he just left.) It really was nice though, to be with your baby brother.
Yet it didn’t take long for things to begin to spiral out of control. It didn’t take long for people to betray Ororon, for people to attack him, and want him dead. So, of course, he wants to at least try and assist.
Before we get into all this, he meets a demon boy on earth. His name is Mitsume, a fiery outcast of the demon world with a missing arm and a third eye. Yes, that’s quite the rare thing, so Othello takes a fancy to the boy. He wants to be his Master so to speak, so he proceeds to get to know him. The boy has no reason to live, so he offers him one. To become a knight, to be his, to hate him as much as he can, and the boy refuses every time.
Despite that, Othello beats the hell out of him each time he acts out of line. If there is one thing he despises, it’s when people won’t follow his orders. It pisses him off and it sets him in a not so good mood. He is the General after all. His rules are to be obeyed without any question.
The boy hates him, claims he will kill him, but is too weak.
So he rips out Mitsume’s third eye and refuses to give it back. Instead, he rips out one of his own, and replaces it with the boy’s. Othello is quite an eccentric man. In fact, he thinks he looks rather exotic with the new eye. So he tells the boy to make him give back that eye. He wants him to travel the world, to come back when he’s strong, because these little fights they have are like wrestling a child.
Mitsume swears that he will have the man’s head.
And Othello Farell smiles, because to him, love is just as strong as hate. The boy has a reason to live now. The boy may or may not accomplish what he now strives to do, but he has a reason. Another though is crawling around in his head now, a dark thought, something that he hides behind that smile of his. Othello really wishes that he had his own reason to live.
He casts that thought away for now, he needs to find Ororon.
He takes a bit longer than intended though… He didn’t give himself enough time. By the time gets there, by the time he kills all those demons, by the time he arrives…
His beloved brother Ororon is dead, Chiaki is sobbing, and all he can do is hold her and laugh. This one is different though, this laugh is filled with anger, and this laugh is filled with pain. There is nothing, Ororon is dead, and all he can do is laugh, all he can do his smile.
What about all that laughing and smiling? Well all along, that was just a façade. On the inside, he’s hurting, angry, grieving for Futuba, and now Ororon. He’ll just keep smiling though, he’ll keep laughing, keep taking a girl’s hand, kissing it, and saying that “It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss.”
It’s what he does. It’s what he always will do.
Despite being an alternate version of this character, his personality and history will stay relatively close to each other. The situation itself will change, but the main aspects of his history and personality will not.
History
Early Childhood :
One of the oldest out of seven brothers, Othello can remember more of his Mother than most. At around the age of twelve a rival corporation poisoned her which left her alive, but slowly deteriorated her perceptions of reality and views on the people of who she loved. This, in turn, caused his Father to become an even crueler man, but it turned Othello into something a bit more different than that. Even in his early childhood Othello was always the cheerful one, bringing his Mother roses, each time being told that she despised him.
He was a smart kid though and knew this wasn’t really what she meant, it was the poison, at least he blamed it on that. It caused him a great deal of pain to see his mother in such a state, but he made the best of it as he grew up. Meanwhile, his Father taught him business tactics and battle tactics from the start. Finding that Othello was quite the prodigy, his Father ground into him lesson after lesson, but he didn’t seem to mind at all.
Teenage Years :
By now his Mother was dead and his Father becoming more powerful by the day, and with that came great expectations for Othello. By now he had completed a number of assassinations successfully for his Father, surpassed what the High School could teach him, and had his very on job as his Father’s right hand in the Farell Corporation.
Hell, he’s still a teenager, and a rather erotic minded one at that. It wasn’t common for him to slip out at night and get it on with only the finest prostitutes money can buy. The possibility that this could knock break into the media if Othello wasn’t careful pissed his dad off beyond belief, but what could a man do? Despite his carefree spirit it was not uncommon to see him playing around with his younger brothers, especially Ororon. As a whole he makes sure to keep an eye on the kid and make sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble. There’s always that chance that one of their family members could be poisoned yet again and Othello doesn’t want to take that chance, especially with his darling baby brother.
Late Teenage Years : One warm night in summer Othello’s father was assassinated and a whole new world was opened up for the soon to be man. With the Farell Corporation in chaos it was up to Othello to rectify the panic and falling of the great weaponry company. At the same time he faced supporting his younger brothers, struggling to keep some of the more power hungry ones from taking the company into their own hands.
The little bit of what he knew of ‘family’ fell apart around then when his older brother attempted to assassinate him. In fact, after that incident the only person he was willing to call family was his Ororon. Surprisingly enough, the kid was one of the only brothers that had enough balls to state his own opinions around their Father, which Othello found he respected him for that.
Early Twenties :
By now Othello has full control of the Farell Corporation and his own castle to boot. This is when he begins to take a special interest in the mutants of Babylon. Despite being well respected, it’s another well kept secret that he has a tendency to find himself rather fond of the mutants of the city. By night he’ll lurk into the lower levels, finding someone of interest, and perhaps taking one under his wing if he sees fit. This, of course, is an extremely rare occurrence as it can cause major conflicts within the company and beyond. Othello is a well respected individual and he rather hates it when people treat him any less than that.
Of course, he’s still keeping track of his baby brother, and is indeed hiring prostitutes on a whim. What’s left of the Farell Bloodline lies within the seven brothers, sons to the now past Ozu.
Mutations/Amplifiers
Ice: A Magical Affinity
For centuries it has been a well kept secret that a form of magical gene runs through the Farell family’s blood. Of course, there’s the whispering of secrets down below now and then that the famous family has a lot more to hide than they let on, but those are merely rumors.
Othello possesses an affinity with ice and can control it at a whim. Unlike most, he practically basks in the cold weather and is hardly affected by it. On the other hand, hot weather seems to make him a bit more tired. Usually, on the hottest days of the month he stays in doors. Although the heat isn’t dangerous to his health he does burn very easily and finds that extreme heat can weaken him substantially after a period of time.
Ring
A ring that appears to be completely made out of a strange crystal substance but is ice cold to the touch. Without it his magical abilities are substantially weakened, you’ll rarely see him without it on him.
Other skills
Computer/hacking skills
Back in canon history, Othello was and sill is a genius of tactics and many other things. Being Othello he also enjoys being entertained and having a bit of a challenge in his life. Of course, when you have ties with just about everyone you need to know who your friends are, and, well, those who need to be put out of business… permanently.
Fighting skills
Although Othello is quite the refined gentleman at times, he needs a certain level of badassery to back it up. From a young age he was trained in the art of weaponry, assassinations, and everything else dirty. Physically he’s been pumped up by nanobots, giving him the ability to pack quite the punch. Of course, he’d much rather his lovely sword. Perhaps one of the best in the world he has a certain elegance when using it.
Any other skill you think is worth mentioning?
Othello can be quite the lady charmer, even a male charmer if he thinks you’re cute!

L 12: He inherited a castle of giant proportions when daddy dearest died. Of course, he decked it own in his own unique way. It’s made almost completely of ice.
Social standing
Being elite Othello Farell is an extremely well respected man. Besides that, he always has a smile on his face so people generally enjoy doing business with him or just chatting. Of course, not all people look at him in good will. Strangely he has extremely good connections with those who have been mutated and enjoys chatting it up with them. At times this leads to conflicts within his coporation and out of it. The media really does love some juicy gossip!
Contacts
At Work: Othello can be contacted only through one way, by scheduling a meeting with him. Be warned, this might be pretty damn hard to do because his office is usually overflowing with work to do.
Alternatively, if you’re close to him you can reach him on a private line that’s rather hard to listen in on.
At Play: If he likes you Othello will probably end up throwing his cellphone number at you. Besides that he also has an email and enjoys trolling on the virtual world when he has the time.
