I know I’ve been gushing about this show a lot (maybe too much?) lately but it is just awesome. I wanted to finish disc 2 before I go to bed but yeah, I have to go to bed soon.
I love love this show. Not more than Veronica Mars but really close. Heh. I was a basketball fanatic back home and I even went to a university where everyone is or becomes a basketball fan. That university, the Ateneo community, is kinda similar to the people from Dillon, TX. Everyone has something to say about the coach, the players, everything. And yes, they will try to tell the coach how to do his job. And I’m sure, there is a Buddy Garrity in Ateneo athletics. It’s always tough when the team loses and I think it was smart to have the line “win or lose, it’s the school we choose” in the school song because it kinda helps a bit after a bitter loss, especially against our rival school, La Salle. I love this show because it hits close to home. And man, it makes me miss (college) basketball a LOT.
Anyway, back to the show. My favourite character? Coach Taylor. I just feel for him. And I love Kyle Chandler. I was actually sad when he died in Grey’s Anatomy. But that’s okay, he’s in FNL now. Oh, and Jason Street? Kinda reminds me of Duncan Kane but Jason is more interesting (heh, I don’t hate Duncan in VM. I just didn’t like how he stood in the way of LoVe, lol). Actually, Jason, Lyla and Tim reminded me of Duncan, Veronica and Logan from VM. Not exactly because of the characters’ personalities but just the friendship and the love triangle part. I’m not shipping any couple yet. Maybe Matt and Julie. I had to laugh out loud when Coach Taylor was telling Matt to focus and advised him to just ask the girl he likes out, and even go get her in his backseat if he needs to. Oh Coach, you have nooo idea what you are talking about! Heehee.
Oookay. That ran a bit long. Heh. Anyway, family dinner went alright. I watched 3 episodes while I was there, lol. :p
