Oh I know alright. Jenka brought her in a few days ago, out cold and bleeding. Apparently, they were having 'knife practice' and Komachi wound up stabbed and with a sore throat. I think Jenka might have choked her--though I don't know if it was on purpose or accidental.

I mean something to us. Gorobei's been looking out for Komachi, and I don't think he'll be happy about this. There's nothing wrong in Komachi learning to defend herself but you don't need to stab anyone in the process to do it.

Jenka is...well, I thought she was a nice person, but Komachi's not as sturdy as a Jaeger. I'll make sure she knows that.

She's only ni-well. Ten now, I guess. We've got at least another three years before we have to worry about the 'teen' part. Come to think of it, I haven't even stayed in just one place that long since I left home. It's kind of weird to wonder if I'll still be here. If she will.

I miss the kids and Migelo (and Vaan, now that he's gone), but I like it here too, even if we have to do crazy stuff like harvest lightning, save pink animals, and prove we didn't kill people.
