[46] A samurai toast before the battle. [Voice // Filtered to the 4423 // Unhackable]

Mar 07, 2009 20:35

[The transmission opens with a little bit of static, but if you listen carefully you can hear the sounds of something boiling in a pot nearby, as well as someone shuffling around. Heihachi's voice is low and a little bit dubious.]

Eugh. This is even less appetising than when Kirara made it. Well, at least it looks like it's about the right texture. [An audible slurp, and a slight noise of distaste.] Tastes about the same too.

[Spoken more loudly towards the microphone.]

Okay everyone, there's Firefly Gruel in the kitchen. Everyone's having a bowl, okay? It's kind of a tradition. I promise it tastes better than it looks. Or not.

[[OOC: What's this? Heihachi's in the kitchen and making something other than rice? 8D Firefly Gruel is made out of Millet, rice's poorer cousin, and...well, in some places they use millet to feed livestock so that gives you an idea about the taste. It's good for the soul, however, and Heihachi will be very persistent about getting everyone to try some. It's supposedly a samurai toast, and you can all blame Kambei for starting the tradition. In fact, I encourage you to do so.

By this point the observant will have probably noticed Heihachi a lot around the ship. He's being ridiculously productive, making sure the 4423 is in absolutely fantastic shape and everybody's spirits are being kept up...and he's doing this in lieu of sleeping, the closer they get to Ivona.]]

here for a reason, mechanic at work, samurai toast, putting lessons to good use, this optimism promises doom, brace for the worst, might be overdoing it
