random 2008 updates
Things that happened this year.....
Jan - Spent NYE on the Harbour with friends and loved the fireworks like a little kid!!
Also - graduated with my Diploma in Youth and Community Work (Christian)
Feb - returned to Morwell to work/volunteer full time with Fusion doing youth work in high schools, radio, adventure daytrips and bible study group as well as community festivals.
Realised that i am in love. for real. and that he loves me back!
March - Went on my 2nd Pilgrimage to Uluru as a small group leader. Almost handled it better than the first year but not really... lol.
April - Went on the Pilgrimage to Canberra. Stopped in to Gundagai and had lunch with my old church. John and Paula move from Poatina to be Gippsland team leaders.
May - New afternoon radio show "Generation Why?" replaces the graveyard shift of Captain Midnight. Young people join team and begin to learn broadcasting skills.
June - Jeremy goes to Germany for 3 weeks. Then stays on for another 2 and a half months, including travel to Greece and goes on mission to the same towns i did. Our communication gets complicated as Training suggests we're talking too much.
July - I travel to Tas for a wknd to see fellow classmates graduate with their Diploma. I miss my first Foundations course since joining Fusion.
August - Jeremy gets back from overseas. My friend Nikki marries Vince in Goulburn and i am a bridesmaid for the very first time!
Sept - I turn 22! Travel to Tas again for International Conference. A very inspiring time hearing about the China Games outreach, and the next big event for Feb 2010 - South Africa for the FIFA world cup and community festivals!!
Oct - Jeremy moves semi-permantently to Jamaica. I travel to Sydney for a few days to see David Crowder Band at the Passion Conference and stay with Simon and Brad at Lexo manor.
Nov - Fusion Vic State conference in North Melb at a property which we may buy in the future and run training from. Friendships develop with the new Diploma students, especially Liz and Jeremias from Greece. Do a couple of housing refuge shifts in Mornington.
Dec - Lots of Christmas parties and final events for youth work for the year. Programs finish up as we move our old office in one day into a new premises in the main street of town. Go home to Gundagai for Christmas. Spend NYE with Ella and the rest of the Crew in Sydney!!
