Valentines Day
So I know everone has been writing about their Valentines Day, and maybe some people are starting to think they are starting to all sound the same... But, I just had to write about mine. This was my first Valentine's Day celebrated since I was a Junior in HIGH SCHOOL! That was in 1999 People! CRAZY!!!! hahaha.
I didn't actually get to see Jared on Valentines Day, because he works at a resuarant on saturdays and holidays. So we went out on Wednesday nite. But he still made me feel special on Valentines Day. I really didn't think he was going to give me flowers, number one because of how much they cost at Valentines time and number two, because he is not one for giving flowers (the whole, all they do is die theory.) Which was fine with me, although I will admit that I am a girl that LOVES getting flowers! So the work day was going by (slowly might I add) and then I got the phone call, the reciptionist saying, (trying to not give it away) "Marcie there is something in the lobby for you." I went down and there was a mand holding this for me! :)
I was the envy of all the ladies in the customer service area as I walked through with a huge grin on my face, shaking with excitment!
Thats the vase it came in. It is so cool, it's a corset. I thought it was the neatest vase I had ever seen. I called Jared to thank him, he of course tried to act like he had no clue what I was talking about. Then he asked what they looked like. Because his friend's mom works at the place and he calls and says "Here is my credit card, here is how much money I have. I want her to have roses, but put other flowers in there too." So I told him, and I told him about the vase, he didn't know what a corset was. So I tried to explain it to him. Pretty much all he got out of it was the vase had boobs and thats cool. haha
So Wednesday was our "Valentines Day". Jared came to pick me up. I wasn't sure when we were doing the whole gift thing, I wasn't even sure if I was getting anything more after the flowers. But I had stuff for him and I just had to show him one of them.
I baked him a Chocolate Chip & Walnut Cookie Cake! I was so proud of myself, I had never baked one before and it came out really good! (We had some when we came home from dinner).
So off we went to dinner. At this point I didn't know where we were going. Early that day I had gotten a craving for Olive Garden and told him we could go there if he didn't know where he wanted to go. But of course he did.
On our way to dinner Jared handed me a bag and told me to open it because it would be fun for him. This is what was inside, some Chocolate Truffles, Fun Size Bags of Peanut M&M's and a big bag of my VERY FAVORITE candy of ALL TIMES, Mini Cadbury Eggs! YUMMY! Along with that,
He got it for me because it had a baby Eeyore on it and Eeyore is my favorite.
And
They are so wonderful! (although it is hard to tell from the pictures). There was another pair but of course leave it to me to see that there was a part missing on them, so Jared is going to return it and get another pair. Jared has gotten me earings in the past just because and he really knows my taste, I have always loved them. I had a feeling a was going to get earings because of a comment he made a few weeks ago. But I wasn't sure if it was going to be a few pairs or just one really nice pair. He said he was going to buy one really nice pair, but then it would take him years to give me different options. I thought it was pretty sweet of him. :)
And of course the card, because it was just too funny...
Jared was so excited to show me that he signed the card "Luv" Jared. If you remember some of my entries from the past he hasn't said "I love you" to me yet. So he saw that as a step closer for him. How cute.
Sop by the time we got to our destination I was so excited for him to open his gift that we sat in the car so he could open them. I had him open the "mushy" thing first.
He liked it! I was so surprised he really liked it! I made it for him during my lunch breaks at work for the past week or so.
Then I also gave him a Dave Matthew's Live CD (Vol. 4) That he had wanted but it wasn't in stores yet. But I found it and ordered on their website. He was very pleased and impressed.
And I got him this little guy, because he was just too cute!
The kids I babysit for got him Heart Shaped Playing Cards and my rents got him a little box of chocolates.
So we ended up going to Bella, which is the resuarant that Jared works at on saturday nites. We got this cute little area all to ourselves and the owner dimmed the lights for us. The food was so amazing! I got this huge dish of pasta with seafood (lobster, musles, clams, scallops & calamary) YUMM! and desert was so good. I tried to take pictures but Jared said I was silly for having a camera in a resuarant. Oh well. I did get a shot of him being emmbarressed by me having my camera out.
And our waitress took our picture.
I of course have my "I have had a few glasses of wine" face.
That was my Valentines Day in a [Long] Nutshell. :)
