So my English teacher told us about
this and I thought it would be nice to share this piece of information with everyone.
Today is "World Hug Day / The Utopia of Hugging" created by a pair of artists known as the Gao Brothers.
On September 10, 2000, they started their first hugging performance, "The Utopia of Hugging for Twenty Minutes."
They gathered 150 volunteers to hug each other for fifteen minutes. After that, everyone huddled together for another five minutes.
Technically the National Hugging Day is on January 21, but giving hugs to other people is a way for us to show that we care for them. I also enjoy giving out hugs because.. I don't know why, but hugs make me feel happy inside.
So even though it's not the National Hugging Day yet, I say, who cares? I'll give out hugs to whenever I want!~ *HUGGS*
Oh, another thing. My history teacher showed the class this video because we were learning about the problems that the world faces today and what we should do to fix it. Unfortunately, I wasn't really paying attention to the song, but i was watching the video itself. It shows clips of people dying, children starving, people suffering. I hate it. I can't stand watching people in pain. They are those living in the streets who lost all hope. I want to go to these places and offer my help. Even though there's a strong chance I won't be able to make a huge impact on this problem, I want to help so that these people can smile and laugh and be full of hope again. I'm willing to work hard to help everyone find their smile.
