EARTHQUAKE!!
today, there was this earthquake in southern california.
it was a 5.4 earthquake with chino hills as the center.
around eleven forty five-ish, i was sitting down to eat with my brother and my mom when the house started shaking. we were out in the living room when this happened. it was pretty scary because this was the first time a felt an earthquake.. actually the first time i was asleep so i didnt feel anything and the second was at school, but it was an after shock and it was pretty mild. my house was swaying back and forth and i thought it was going to collapse or something. the three of us stood near the door way making sure to be clear of windows and glass. we held on to the door way for balance as the ground started to shake beneath us. all this time my cat was literally going insane. she was running back and forth wondering what the hell was going on. i wanted to hold her and calm her down but i couldnt move. thankfully, nothing serious happened. our house is still standing... and actually, nothing fell down because my city isnt that close to the center. however, my friend, who is also my neighbor, was home all by herself, so after everything settled down i tried to go outside. i waited a few minutes before actually leaving just in case it started again. then i rushed over to her house to make sure she wasnt too rattled up. i talked with her a bit and left to my own house. my mom was trying to contact my dad who later called back saying that he was fine. now that i think about it, i should really prepare for an earthquake. we should have like emergency bags aroung the house. i think we do, but we should make sure we're ready. wow!! it was kind of scary though... :D but thankfully everyone is all right!!
oh yeah, i also have pictures from anime expo 2008... i had them for a while but i got too lazy to upload them or anything... D: i should post them up... but i will someday. before the summer is over 8D
