...mainly because I referenced LJ at WG.
I Umpired at The Little League Jr State Tournament last night. 4 umpire mechanics, I was at 3rd base. 3rd base in '4 man' is like 'vacation with pay' only we volunteer for free, LOL! It was a good game Friday Harbor LL beat Mill Creek LL 4-0. I had 1 call, and that's because the fielder tagged the runner a second time, lol.
In the games that I umpire I ask the crowd the sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". It surprises them! but they join in. It loosens people just a little.
Why do we sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" when we are already there?

Take Me Out to the Ballgame,
Take me out to the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts & Crackerjack,
I don't care if I never get back.
For it's root root root for (insert name of team here),
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's 1, 2, 3 strikes yer out,
At the ol' Ball Game.
