I seriously don't know how I am going to teach a child to read English
if the language makes no sense at all. I have been trying to teach
her rhyming words, but how is she going to grasp it if our language is
so messed up? Consider these words. Sneak, peek, and oblique. Hmm,
they all sound the same. Why don't they all LOOK the same? Then it
gets worse.
Bow and Bow (sound different, mean different things)
Peek and Peak and Pique
bough (rhymes with thou, meow, pow), tough (see next), rough (rhymes
with buff, and muff), through (rhymes with true), though (rhymes with
one of the bow*s and row), thorough (doesn't rhyme with rough)
lets not forget to mention, bow and bough
THIS SUCKS!
