It's still snowing outside.

We had school. The only nice thing about having school on hazardous days is that a lot of kids don't come. I carpooled with Ms. M and it was a lot of fun. We might do it again tomorrow for the hell of it and get coffee. Amazingly, all of the teachers were there. We definitely had 4 inches of snow on the ground when we left. It was really fun watching the buses turn sideways trying to get out of the school's driveway.

So today, I had promised two kids, Joseph and Da'Ron that I'd give them M&M's for getting off the gym mats a week ago and stop the fighting and we finally had time where we could eat together. I love eating with those boys, and the others they hang out with. They're good kids, they just have poor lapses in judgment. It's odd that the kids are terrible for one teacher, yet are fine for the other (they like Pseudo Washu. Or they know because of how much I love her to never admit that they've disrespected her). Anyway, they're eating their M&M's (oh my God I just remembered I gave Joseph my peanut butter sandwich and told him it was made out of love) and Da'Ron said he though I was adorable. (AWWWWWW!!! Pseudo Washu has called me that too!!) And then Joseph butts in and yells:
"NO, HE THINKS YOU'RE HOT."
And in conclusion hugging these boys will now not really happen. Ever. Joseph kept playing with my hair, which I deal with a lot when I worked with kindergartners since I'm white and have red hair, but it got so obnoxious and somewhat strange that I just threw my hair up in to a bun. The kid's 12. Our new rule is, if he doesn't do it to P.Washu, he isn't allowed to do it to me.

Those two somehow sneak out of P.Washu's class every afternoon with the walkers, and come down to the buses. I've asked them boatloads of times how they manage to do this without her noticing and they B.S. some sad answer and I kind of laughed about it until yesterday when the 8th graders were shoving Joseph. Today when Joseph came down I ordered him to wait, since it was insanely early for him to be out. Eventually I let him go and like, 10 minutes later P.Washu was taking her class to the buses.

Me: You're aware that Joseph leaves class early every day to come down here, right?
Her: What? No. He must leave with the walker's group. Did he do it today?
Me: Oh yeah. I made him wait, he strolled down at 2.
Her: Make him wait for me. Maybe he'll earn a suspension for this.
Me: Okay, I'll do it tomorrow. But you can't act like you know I talked to you about this or he won't do it ... Oh my God, he'll piss his pants when he sees you.
Her: Well, to be honest .. he's one of the ones who needs to.

MY HERO. So tomorrow I'm setting up an ambush and I feel terribly guilty about it -- but I can already imagine her face and her screaming at him in front of everyone. And that makes it totally worth it, holy GOD. I should record it on my phone. I love her class, I think I'd work for free for a few weeks to be able to work with her.

school, funny, work, awesome teachers, i'm the shit, kids
