I feel like I am in this stall pattern right now.  I get a little bit ahead and then something (life) happens and everything stops.
Things were going great at work (personally) and then I went on maternity leave.  By the time I was supposed to be returning to work I (and countless others) had been let go and the Flatirons Phoenix office was closing.
I haven't found a job yet (which sucks, might have something on the horizon but waiting to hear a definite answer) so in the mean time I have applied for unemployment and have been approved, but it is on hold while they resolve an issue with my severance from Flatirons.  So at the moment I have no money coming in.
I just had to have my car fixed ($987!!!) but it feels like driving a brand new car and I only have like 4 payments left so I cant complain there.
The girls just got their report cards on Friday and are doing pretty well.  There are a few things that they need to work on, but nothing to really be concerned about at this point in the year.

Soren is a wonderful baby.  He is happy 95% of the time, loves everyone he comes in contact with and is a great sleeper.  However, the last 2 months of my pregnancy he was head down and resting on my pelvis.  This lead to him having a cone shaped head when he was born and a flat spot on the back of his head that the doctor assured me would go away "probably by 4 months." Well, here we are at almost 4 months and he still has a flat spot.
I took him to Cranial Technologies a few weeks ago for a consultation.  They assured me that there wasn't really anything I could have done to prevent it.  It is a combination of being stuck on my pelvis and having a tight neck muscle since birth.  He will need a Doc Band (helmet basically) to round his head out.  I'm not sure yet how long he will need it (his measurement appointment is on Tuesday) but it is necessary....and expensive (about $2000 I don't currently have).  He will also need to go to physical therapy to work his neck muscle out so he can turn his head like he is supposed to.
The other day Roxanne kept asking me if there were any chores that she could do some money.  I asked her what she needed money for and she said that she wanted to make some money to try to help pay for Soren's Doc Band.  She is such a sweet kid.

So, I am kind of stressed out, but I will make everything work.  I have no other option.

the kids, life, doc band
