Today has been a day of thought, sadness, heart, hurt, and confusion. My parents got home around 1:45 last night from my great-grandmother's funeral. She died on Tuesday morning, and it was pretty tough on my mom. She was 94 years old and she lived in Texas. My dad was asked to do the funeral, and so they flew over there immediatlely following my soccer game on Thursday.
So, I woke up this morning kind of tired, but OK. I looked up college stuff, then began getting ready for my soccer game. Then, I heard my dad yelling at my dog. So I run and look out the window, and to my udder dismay, I see one of my little kittens writhing on the ground. My dad told me to go sit down and he went outside, but it was too late. It had died very quickly, so thankfully it didn't suffer. What happened was, my dad had thrown some food out to our dog, Luigi, and he was just munching on it and the kitten ran up to him and tried to steal his food. So naturally, Luigi just snapped at it, trying to protect his food, but I don't think he was really trying to hurt it because he's NEVER done that before! So, when Luigi snapped, he grabbed the tiny kittens head, and it broke its neck and it died.
I don't think it would have been as sad if I hadn't of seen it dying, or if I hadn't of seen the mommy cat run up to her dying baby and watch helplessly as it died. So I cried very, very hard. I don't like to see animals hurt, especially my own.
Well, I had to get ready for my game still. My game was at 1:00 and we were playing East Valley. We COMPLETELY dominated the match, but for some reason, our forwards were not shooting enough, and didn't make any of their shots. So it went into a shoot out, and we lost, because three of our girls missed their shots, AGAIN! The only people that made their's were Sarah and I. I cannot even say how frusterated I am. Thankfully, it was not a loser out game, so we still have a chance to be state champions, which we can do if we would just shoot and make our shots!!!!!!!! I just don't understand......
To top it all off, during the game, one of the East Valley girls smashed into me so very hard, and some really hard part of her body bashed into my very tender part of my inside thigh. I haven't felt a pain like that in a very long time........so I'm sitting here, icing my leg, praying a lot, and now, I'm going to go write my huge paper for english 101.
I feel kind of sad, and disappointed. If anyone wants to pray for me, they can.
