E.T. is staring at me.....
~A California Day~
I got to sleep in today! 9:15! Boy, it was nice. I packed up all of my stuff, for I had been staying at a host family's house all week, and tomorrow, I get to see my mom and dad and they will help me move into my dorm!!!!!!! Hurray for me!
I'm actually, if you couldn't see, excited for that. It will feel more official that way.
We have spent the whole day at the home of a girl named Heidi. She lives in the upperclass section of a town called....I'm blanking. But I walked towards her house, and was thinking, "Man this place is pretty dang gigantic and nice." But then I walked INTO the house, and I felt like a small, poor country girl from the middle of nowhere. It is one of the nicest homes I've ever been in! Everything is expensive, nice, and top of the line. I can just keep walking and walking, and there are always new rooms to look at! They have a nice pool, hottub, pool table room, and lots of bathrooms, and three stories of smell good furniture and beautiful paintings. And I have spent the whole day here!! Oh yah...
Guess what? I attempted to surf....in the ocean!!! I immediately hopped on the board, and rode some wicked waves and blew everyone out of the water!........
Well, true story is, I strapped the board to my ankle, waded out into the water, got hit by a couple small waves, got completely terrified and freaked out thinking about drowning and sharks, and decided to "try it out" later, and swam back to shore at a very high speed, and gave the board to someone else. I think I embarrassed myself, but I didn't care. I'm not drowning my first week in Cali!!
Cheri, I thought of you today. I was riding in Amanda's car today, and we blasted Phantom of the Opera, and I thought of you...made me think of all those times...Singing in the car at loud velocities actually made me think of the entire Fab Four, but Phantom just made me think of you and our blastingly loud high notes...
Ahhhhh, memories, memories, memories.....
I watched Ever After before bed tonight. Great movie to go to bed to. YOu'll always have sweet dreams... :)
