what a wonderful day!

work was so much fun. as soon as we got there, there were 3 40-year-old hippies drinking their faces off (9 AM mind you!). they went down to the beach, so the lifeguards were aware that these people shouldn't be swimming. one guy passed out and was practically in a coma. when his two friends wanted to leave, they couldn't wake him up, so they kind of just left him there. they wanted the lifeguards to wake him up, but trotta said it wasn't our job so we didn't try too hard. after a while the tide started coming in on the beach whale, families were complaining, and it looked like the guy had lost his vital signs. andrew called public safety, an officer came down, woke up the guy, took his info (no photo ID - just his birth certificate and social security card on him!), and kicked him out of the beach because he was from northport and not smithtown. AWESOME.

as that was winding down, KYLE FXCKING NAJA and some girl show up to callahan's with two other ghetto kids (who wanted to start trouble with jon velez). kyle and the girl were screaming at each other at the top of their lungs about abuse, stealing, car damage, everything. at one point kyle walked away from the girl and she threw a fit; "GET THE F OVER HERE! GET THE F BACK HERE! I EFFIN HATE YOU!" so she sprinted over to him and punched him in the face. it was awesome.

i wish we had incidents like this every day at work to make the time go by.

after work i went straight to flynn for first two rounds of the softball playoffs. we played the desperados the first game and beat them 20-2. :cough:

THE SECOND GAME WAS SO INTENSE!! we had to play the winner of the union-wombats, and of coures the union won because they're so freaking good. the game's scoring went as follows, i think:

1-0 them
1-1
4-1 us
4-2 us
5-2 us
5-5

...it was like that for the last few innings. in the top of the 7th, the union had runners on 1st and 2nd with one out. greg terebetski lined out to steve lupo in right center, but steve had to sprint to get it. lauren sosulski was on first and she had run off the bag, so steve gunned to to mare to double her up and end the inning. that might've been the turning point of the game, and of course i was screaming my head off.

steve lupo led off the bottom of the 7th inning (there are only 7 innings to a game so it was last licks). he hit a line drive to amanda sosulski in left center, but she didn't catch the ball and steve just kept running. when he got to 3rd, he saw that the ball was rolling around in the dirt and HE SPRINTED FOR HOME AND SCORED. BEACH MONKEES WIN !!!!

oh man it was sooo exciting. now the beach monkees are 12-0 and have a 32 game win streak. we're going play the n00bies after a ton of controversy in the finals on monday at maple. come down and watch!

we went to the lake grove diner to celebrate after the game, i showered, then went over to tristan's for his birthday. these games were definitely a great way to celebrate his birthday, no? and, i can't stress enough how funny those guys are.

kristen called as i was leaving tristan's and i hung out with her, billy sweeney, christian, walsh, petey, and rosey in starbucks for 5 minutes. i haven't seen billy since grad house .. kinda sad, especially since he leaves for school soon.

umm .. should i have another big bbq soon?
