hot damn
so it's been a while. july was a fantabulous month-- i saw three singers that all melted my heart over and over again. at the beginning of the month i saw mirah at the magic stick. her voice even makes me melt when she speaks. then i saw madeline play at the t-plex. it was a small show but she played old stuff and new stuff. i am in love with her new album. during the sds national convention, which was held here in detroit and went waaay better than i thought, shannon murray from the riot folk collective played. unfortunately only a whole 10 of us where at the t-plex., but it felt like a more intimate show. i like that she tells stories between her songs. she is really fucking cute.
