so i saw ted leo last night... it was pretty sweet. i was like 5 feet from the stage. you seriously havent seen him till youve seen him in concert. they are such a concert band... when they played it was like liquid gold.
mary timony opened up. she was alright... id heard her before, but shes more of a person who its better to listen to on cd. she just kinda mooned around onstage while she sang and jumped up and down out of time. her songs were good, they just didnt get the crowd in a 'concert' mood.
then radio 4 played. and they were effing amazing. they are funk punkers w/ a lil techno thrown in, and they are really good in concert. i hadnt heard em before, so i didnt know what to expect. they had a guy who played the bongos, maracas, cowbell, and tamborines, and during one song he went on a cowbell/bongo solo. it was awesome. the other drummer guy seemed really shabby next to his bongo awesomeness. they had a good guitarist too...
and ted leo played after that. he couldnt get his guitar in tune, but he was still really really good. they played a bunch of stuff off of hearts of oak and shake the sheets, and they rocked every song.
the end, id appreciate it if someone would tell me how to put pictures in this thing, cos i took a bunch on my phone and i dunno how to put em up here once theyre on my computer..
