Memories

I was thinking of things that make me happy this morning. Mostly what came to mind were memories. I was thinking of all the times that Michelle and I went on Yoop adventures. From driving to Ski Brule every October to hit the ONE run of ice (I kid you not) to driving to Hurley, WI to see the boys, and our downstate drives home. The one thing that struck me the most was our comfortable silences. Well, minus the last trip to Hurley where Vaida and I drank Tequila the whole 3 hours there and V peed on my foot lol and Michelle nearly dropped us off on the side of the highway and drove off. Or the time when we picked up Danny T in Saginaw for a wedding, and while driving down I-75, Danny said.. "hey guys?! wanna see the Vibe bounce down the highway like an egg?" (mind you, Danny T is a 6'2" 250lbs+ guy) He proceeded to bounce up and down in the back seat of the car, which obviously made the Vibe bounce down the highway like a egg. She nearly killed us. But all in all, I think that is one of the best qualities in our friendship. Being so completely comfortable with each other, that just being in each others presence is enough.
*When shit would hit the fan in either one of our lives, hop in the car, turn up Dayton Family, and cruise 3rd St.
*Checking out the waves every morning to see if the surf was good.
*Biking to Stucko's in the middle of the day for dinner, and ending up having too many margaritas and not leaving until 2. Only to wake up the next morning and go to Vango's for our "hangover lunch".
*Walking home from parties at Penny's, slipping on ice and peeing behind houses.
*Driving to the hill with all the windows down BLASTING Britney Spears, singing at the top of our lungs.
*The summer where we drank NOTHING but wine. Why on earth did anyone think this was a good idea?
*Hiking up Sugar Loaf with Mich and Vaida to catch the sunset over the lake and the town, and taking our bridesmaid pictures lol. What none of us realized was that we couldn't even keep boyfriends at that point, let alone get married.
*Creepin'. All I need to say.
*Clearing an ENTIRE deck at the Shamrock on pitcher night due to Vaida's disgusting ass.
*Studying for finals. No, taking aderall to study for finals, sitting at Vaida's living room table.. Michelle painting her nails, Vaida leaving every 5 minutes to go to every gas station in town and buy lottery tickets (she wouldn't go to the same one more than twice in a day because obviously, she is crazy) and me glued to jigzone. I think we ALL failed our finals the next day.
*Having sleep overs because being single and alone at night was too much for any of us to handle.
*Waking each other up at random houses, pulling each other out of bed. How we found each other, I have no idea.
*Making waitstaff sing to everyone on their birthdays, no matter how embarassing it may be.
*That great time of every year when at least one of us is homeless, and living on each others couches for weeks at a time.
Being a tri-pod just doesn't work with one of your legs missing..
