Brokeback won best director. Crash won best film. I think those were both appropriate.

Was anyone else shocked?

absolutely nothing suprised me about it.

i was so mad cuz i thought it was gunna be on today and not yesterday so i was freaking out at work when i found it that it was on. but then i realized i knew who was going to win. it sucks that there were so many good nominees in each category, but like we really already knew who was going to win.
