Thank you so much for writing for me! I adore all the fandoms and characters I've chosen so I'm sure I'll love whatever you create. If you'd like some general, completely optional guidelines for what I usually like/dislike in stories and potential prompts, please see below! Or if you have something already in mind, go for it!
Likes: Canon-divergence AUs, AUs, crossovers, happy or hopeful endings, humor, hurt/comfort, teams/friends being dysfunctionally functional, courting, ensemble cast, competence, crime solving
Dislikes: Dark fic, character death, explicit sex, infidelity
Jeeves - P. G. Wodehouse: Bertram Wooster, Reginald Jeeves
[Anything about Bertie and Jeeves and their adorable dynamic where Bertie tries to do right by his friends and family and Jeeves has to fondly extricate him from the inevitable soup.]
I love these books so much. Kind, frivolous Bertie and calm, brilliant Jeeves and their adorable relationship where Bertie always does his best (bless) and Jeeves always comes through with a solution to get him out of it. I do ship it but I would also adore gen/friendship. What latest hijinks have they been getting into? Will Jeeves ever let Bertie add something with a nice pop of color to his wardrobe?
I'm reading Much Obliged, Jeeves at the moment and am endlessly curious about the 18 pages Jeeves has written about Bertie in the Junior Ganymede club book. Maybe you want to to write an excerpt or the conclusions the other valets come to about Bertie based on the pages.
Or maybe you love AUs and want to write the modern AU of my heart where they meet for the first time at Oxford. Bertie is there for Creative Writing and Jeeves is there for Classics and he still has a compulsive need to rescue Bertie from ridiculous difficulties and ill-conceived sartorial choices.
I only requested for Bertie and Jeeves but I love ensemble so feel free to add the aunts or any of the many hilarious and colorful characters.
Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyer: Carswell Thorne, Crescent Moon "Cress" Darnel
[I really enjoy the kind of Tangled-inspired flippant, cynical thief meets earnest, isolated princess romance between Thorne and Cress. Would love to see more of their current journey or any kind of canon-divergence AU!]
I enjoyed Cinder and then I really enjoyed Scarlet and then I loved Cress. I like Cress' hacker brilliance and how even though she was isolated and trapped on the satellite, she found ways to use technology to reach out and learn about the world and make her own alliances. I like Thorne, who is constantly facetious but is serious about keeping Cress safe. And I love them together. Give me more of their misunderstandings and UST! Does Cress lead Thorne around the ship by the hand until he gets his eyesight back? Does Thorne pretend his sight isn't back yet so she doesn't stop? Maybe he teaches her some self-defense since they're going to start a revolution and all.
Or maybe an AU? Cress contacts the Rampion before Cinder and she and Thorne become epic space pirates! Or shells aren't exiled and Cress grows up on Luna with her overprotective father who is not best pleased when an Earthen crash-lands his ship in their backyard.
I'm planning to read Winter when it's released in November so feel free to include anything from there if you have read it and would like to, although certainly don't feel obligated.
Falling Skies: Tom Mason, John Pope, Dan Weaver
[Aliens v the human resistance!]
This show. I only started watching it this year and I powered through all four available seasons on Amazon Prime in a short amount of time, even when I started to think wait, no, stop, why, omg somewhere in season 3. I love the premise and I love the 2nd Mass and how they never stop fighting.
The dynamics between Tom and Pope and Tom and Weaver and all three of them are fascinating to me. I ship Tom/Pope (with a side of Weaver's goddamn it Tom face) but I'd certainly be happy with gen. I'd really like them to have reached a place of mutual respect and friendship. The show did such a good job of it with Tom and Weaver who are my favorite somewhat confusing BFFs. Anyway, maybe Tom plans a raid based on some historical battle while Weaver huffs with exasperation and Pope rolls his eyes and makes more ammo. Or maybe someone in the future writes a book about how they are basically the new Founding Fathers.
Or maybe you want to write the crazy non invasion AU that I want someone to write for me so I don't have to where Tom Mason is a widower who cares about history, his hardass best friend Dan, and his boys and John Pope’s probation officer makes him take classes at Boston U as part of his parole. (Pope gets expelled from the chem lab he originally chose for giving a practical demonstration of how to make ammonium nitrate and his course choices are narrowed to History and like Exercise Science. He chooses American Revolution 301 since there’s at least the promise of patriotic violence. He sticks with it because it lives up to the patriotic violence but also because Professor Mason is hot like burning.)
I haven't gotten to see all of season 5 yet and the episodes that I have seen hurt my heart so if you could avoid anything post season 4 (actually most anything post season 3 because I think season 4 was the alien baby crazy season?) I'd appreciate it!
