Yuletide!
After years of lurking, I've finally convinced myself to actually participate in Yuletide! Both excited and panic-stricken. Anyway.
Dear Yuletide Author,
Thank you so much for writing for me! I adore all the fandoms and characters I've chosen so I'm sure I'll love whatever you create. If you'd like some general, completely optional guidelines for what I usually like/dislike in stories, please see below!
Likes: AUs, crossovers, happy or hopeful endings, humor, hurt/comfort, teams/friends being dysfunctionally functional, ensemble cast, competence
Dislikes: Dark fic, character death, explicit sex, infidelity
Request 1 -- The Chosen - Chaim Potok: Reuven Malter, Danny Saunders
This has been my favorite book since high school and yet when people ask me why, I really can't explain very well. I just love Reuven and Danny's unconventional yet amazing friendship, how Reuven is fantastic at math and Danny is fantastic at everything except math and they balance each other. I love how spare the writing feels, how even though there isn't much action, action, action propelling the story along I can sit down and read the book straight through without even realizing it because I want to see where the characters go. I couldn't even believe this was a fandom on offer and I would sincerely love anything. Slice of life, studying Talmud, college/future fic (whether it matches to the future written in The Promise or not), anything.
Request 2 -- The Losers (2010): Jake Jensen
I love every character in The Losers and how they are such a great team (until they sort of aren't but then they are again). I particularly love Jensen for his technical genius and his humor and his crossbow and the way he loves Journey and his niece and makes dinosaurs out of guns and knives and brass knuckles. Jensen/Cougar is my OTP in this fandom, but I also adore Gen. Some Losers fics I particularly enjoy which maybe will give you some insight or I just want to rec:

Request 3 -- Justice League & Justice League Unlimited (Cartoons): Bruce Wayne
Bruce Wayne ♥ He's a rich kid with issues and I love him as Batman when he's being an awesome detective and a stoic League adjunct who nonetheless loves his team. I love him when he's doing things like shoving his knowledge of everyone's secret identities at them and trying to figure out the what and why of Superman's apparent death while everyone else is at the funeral and going to the opening of the Flash Museum because it's important to Wally. And I love him as Bruce Wayne pretending to be a feckless playboy and basically trolling everyone.
