THE LAST FEW WEEKS HAVE BEEN LOCO!
I had a sweet trip to ISU and an even sweeter trip to Urbana. I recorded some demos with Steve's recording equipment and needless to say I really like the way everything turned out. I had a really good time recording and hanging out out there. I would greatly enjoy another visit sometime.
And then I get back, and my backpack gets jacked out of my car. with a LOT of money in it. So yeah, that set me back... a lot. But that kind of shit happens. And that kind of shit sucks.
The new band with Jared, Ryan, and Paul is seriously becoming one of my favorite bands ever to play in. It is an AWESOME combination of humor and weird beards. I love it; the songs are awesome, I get to hang out with my brother, and probably the goofiest percussion section of all time. NO ONE in that band takes it too seriously-which I guess is the key for any good band in my opinion.
Crusoe show! I'm extremely excited about it. I forget how much I love to just play guitar for a band and not really have to worry about anything else. And plus, we've been a band for a long time now and we all just enjoy eachother's company.
I've gotta get around to remixing the EP Kyle and I's band recorded. I think it turned out awesome. It's the first time I've ever recorded anything with TONS of percussion.
I pretty much live in Chicago now. Olive Garded training is pretty invovled so I've been there every day and sleeping on Nicole's couch every night. Michelle and Zack moved in and I'm seriously considering moving in with them. They have a huge apartment with an extra bedroom (oh! and high ceilings). They both didn't seem to have too much of a problem with it, and it's a really good deal for me if I want to move out right now. And I do. I've got suburb fever and the only thing that's going to cure it is the city.
All in all, as much as things are looking down right now- they're looking up just as much.
