Life has fallen back to a tenuous sort of normality with the new semester. Things are more stable for me, personally, though my parents are both grieving in their own way. It's to be expected, but it's hard to have a conversation with my father knowing he won't remember it in the morning because of his nightly 'relaxation'.
Still, I'm working to get my weight under control again. I was slack the last few months, but I have goals now - a caribbean vacation in october and a wedding(Not mine) summer 2011 - that I want to be fit for. So, since normal dietary changes had failed, I've decided to count calories -ugh, dear God, but it looks necessary - and I've made an appointment to talk to my doctor about a medically supervised diet. As irritating as this all is, I'd prefer to learn how to live like this now, when I have a rat's chance of actually CHANGING something, considering my metabolism is comparable to a 50 year olds.
However, on the upside, my dad bought me a netbook! My monster - 17 inches - seemed like a good idea at the time, but it's really ungainly to take anywhere and it's battery lasts only 1:30 unplugged.
Edit: OH! And I found out I'm lactose intolerant. Cutting out the raw milk, heavy cheese, ice cream, and yogurt in my diet has made me feel PHENOMENALLY better. I used to have a bowl of cereal every morning, so you can only imagine the icky puky feeling I dealt with every day.
