NO MORE PRETENDING

"I can't believe I passed out on you." Jaejoong groaned, feeling horrified. He buried his face into his palms, mumbling how humiliating it was on his part. "And my ass hurts!"

Yunho tucked Jaejoong's head under his chin as he tried to console his moping boyfriend. "I should have slowed down a bit. I'm sorry."

Jaejoong's head snapped up, pulling away a bit from the embrace so he could look at Yunho. "No, noo... never slow. I like it fast, and hard. Oh god, you were so good." Jaejoong sighed contentedly then just as quickly, his mood shifted. "But you don't get why I'm upset!"

Yunho chuckled, pressing a kiss to Jaejoong's forehead. "Okay. Why don't you tell me?"

"Do you think I'm old?"

“You’re an experienced adult.” Yunho bit his lip, trying not to laugh. "Why?"

"I passed out! Baby, don’t you understand? it's like a sign that I'm getting old... and oh god, if I can't keep up with you anymore, I won't be surprised if you'll eventually crave for someone younger to have sex with." Jaejoong complained dramatically. He then pointed a stern look at Yunho, "You're not replacing me anytime soon, are you?"

"You're not serious." Yunho deadpanned.

"Okay, I'm not." Jaejoong grinned. "But you're supposed to compliment me, tell me how I'm the most beautiful person in your eyes... you know, stroke my ego up a bit."

Yunho laughed, pulling Jaejoong back to him as he whispered suggestively, "I believe I've already stroked you many times than you can handle."

"Stop it." Jaejoong frowned, slapping Yunho's shoulder. "Okay now, tell me. Tell me! I wanna hear," he said excitedly.

Yunho rolled his eyes, moving his lips closer to Jaejoong's ear. "I swear, you are... the vainest person I've ever known."

Jaejoong bit Yunho's arm while he laughed at him.

"Stop it," Jaejoong pouted turning his back to Yunho. “I’m serious!”

Yunho sighed. "Alright."

He snaked a hand over Jaejoong’s waist as he pulled him close. Then softly, he kissed Jaejoong's nape, grazing his lips until he reached the back of his ear.

"No one else could ever compare to you." Yunho whispered, smiling when Jaejoong turned to him with a very flushed face. "You're so beautiful," he said cupping Jaejoong's cheek. He planted a kiss on his lips, along his cheek, whispering 'mine' in between.

"Oh." Jaejoong chuckled uneasily, patting his face as he buried his nose on Yunho's neck. "This is embarrassing. My face is all red now."

"Told you you can't handle it." Yunho laughed flicking Jaejoong's forehead. "Does it still hurt?"

"Um,” Jaejoong shifted, wincing from the soreness in his lower back. “A little bit."

"Oh, my poor baby. Let's skip the hard and fast for a few days though, alright?"

Jaejoong shook his head. “I can take it, I swear."

"Nope, not up for negotiation.” Yunho said poking Jaejoong’s cheek. “Your pretty butt needs to recover."

"Fine." He sighed.

“By the way, there’s something I want to talk to you about.” Yunho mumbled, nuzzling Jaejoong’s neck.

“Hmm?” Jaejoong hummed in answer, encouraging the other to go on.

“W-Well.. I know it hasn't been that long since we'd gotten back together, but I was thinking...”

“No. You’re not breaking up with me after using my body for amazing sex.” Jaejoong teased, holding in his laughter at the look of shock on Yunho’s face which then shifted to annoyance when he noticed Jaejoong sniggering.

“I'm trying to be serious here,” Yunho complained, his eyebrows furrowing.

Jaejoong bit his lip, nodding at him. “Sorry, okay go on.”

“Um, since... uh, you always stay over at my place, don’t you think it will be more convenient for you--us... if...”

“I stop hogging your apartment? You want me to stop coming over?” Jaejoong chuckled.

“You know that’s not what I meant. Stop being so difficult.” Yunho turned away in mild irritation.

“I'm sorry. I'm sorry,” Jaejoong chortled. “I can’t help it. You look adorable looking so conflicted. Okay, okay, not laughing. What were u gonna say?”

“Never mind. Maybe next time when you're ready to take me seriously.” Yunho grumbled as he tried to roll out of bed.

Jaejoong straddled Yunho’s lap preventing him from getting up. “So... you are not going to ask me to move in with you?” a wide smile was plastered on his face.

Yunho stared at him in exasperation and disbelief. “Oh my God, and you just had to make me suffer like that. I can't believe you!” he hissed.

“Oh!” Jaejoong cooed pinching Yunho’s cheek. “My baby is so adorable. You cute cute chipmunk!"

“Stop calling me that! and you know what, no, I change my mind.” Yunho gruffly said. "I don't want to move in with you!"

"But why nooooot?"

"Now that I think about it, you're just gonna nag at me all the time!” Without a hint of any malice, Yunho then proceeded in a teasing tone, “and if you live with me, how else can I bring my young mistresses over?"

"You're right.” Jaejoong pouted. “That would mean the same thing for me. No younger guys to cheat on you with--”

“What younger guys!” Yunho whacked Jaejoong’s arm. “Hey, I’m still young and--”

“--and there's the chance of u walking in on me cooking in that cute little apron with nothing underneath. Oh what a dilemma."

“--wait, really?”

“Only if u let me move in." Jaejoong grinned.

“Please move in with me.”

"No mistresses?"

“Never.” Yunho grinned back. “No younger guys?”

"Just you, baby.” Jaejoong chuckled, pressing his forehead against Yunho’s. “It’s always been you."

“So that’s a yes, right?”

"If you insist then I--" Jaejoong burst out into a boisterous laughter as Yunho tackled him to the bed.

3 years later

"You forgot our anniversary?" Jaejoong looked forlorn, an obvious disappointment showing from the way his eyes lost its excitement. But considering it had never happened before and that Yunho’s schedule had been very tight the past few weeks, he tried to be more sympathetic. Bad situations happen even to the strongest relationships, he told himself, and fortunately he’d learned to deal with it within the early stage.

Yunho tiredly sat himself on the couch, opening his arms wide to which Jaejoong immediately answered with a warm welcoming embrace. He smiled as he was pulled to Yunho's lap, feeling the affectionate brush of Yunho's nose on his neck that instantly lightened up his mood a bit.

"I'm sorry. I got a little distracted with work," Yunho admitted rubbing a hand down his back. "Happy anniversary," he whispered lovingly as he kissed Jaejoong on the cheek.

"It's alright." Jaejoong smiled. "Oh yeah, there's something...." he pulled away, crouching down in front of the coffee table. Grinning up at Yunho he said, "close your eyes." He waited until the other had a hand over his eyes before reaching under the table where it held his little surprise.

"Here." Jaejoong sat himself back on Yunho's lap, pulling his hand down revealing two tightly shut eyes. "Okay, you can look now." He chuckled when Yunho only peeked through one eye. "Yunho-yah, stop playing around," he whined shoving the present to Yunho's face.

As Yunho stared down at the thing on his hands, Jaejoong saw how his smile slipped and transitioned into a look of extreme guilt.

"Jaejoongie, I-I didn't..."

"Don't be silly," Jaejoong muttered swatting his arm. "You can make it up to me some other time, okay? so please just take it?" he told him with pleading eyes.

Yunho nodded, lightly scraping his thumb on Jaejoong's cheek. "I'll make it up to you. I promise." Then turning his attention back to the small velvet box, he peered at it curiously before pressing it to his ear.

Giving it a soft shake as if treating it like some kind of explosive, he asked, "What's this?"

Jaejoong frowned. "Shake it one more time and it’s gonna explode on your face. Just open it!"

"Wait, you're not proposing to me, are you?" Yunho's eyes widened at the thought.

"I'm not." Jaejoong looked at him dumbly. Surely an idea of a proposal was a bit outrageous since it rarely came up in their conversation. Nevertheless, was it necessary for Yunho to show him how horrified he was? he felt even more insulted at the sign of relief on the other’s face.

"Well gee, don't you look very happy? that makes one of us," Jaejoong added sarcastically.

"Hey, hey, it's not--"

"It’s not what? What?!” he said, roughly poking Yunho with a finger on the chest. “I thought you wanted to marry me?"

"Yes, I do want that with you... just not right now." Yunho assured, looking quite conflicted.

"Not... right now, " Jaejoong nodded whispering to himself. "I understand that. But you didn’t have to be an ass and look so appalled over the thought of a proposal from me." He quickly got off Yunho's lap then headed towards their bedroom. "And because I'm not good enough of a partner right now, you fix your own damn dinner. I'm going to bed."

"Jaejoong-ah, come on, don't be like this." Yunho consoled, following him a few steps behind. He stopped when Jaejoong turned, directing his icy cold stare at him.

"Don't be what?"

Yunho opened his mouth to say something but Jaejoong held his palm up at him. "Not... a word." Then jerking the door open, he threw a sour look over his shoulder. "Happy anniversary," he muttered in annoyance before slamming the door shut on Yunho's face.

***

For the 5th time in a row, Jaejoong rejected Yunho's phone call. It had been ringing since he locked himself inside and was determined to ignore it. His phone lit up one more time, raising an eyebrow when it was Yoochun's name blinking on the screen this time.

Pressing the phone to his ear, he greeted him with an annoyed sigh. "Let me guess, Yunho asked you to call."

"Stop being such a girl. Let him in."

"No."

"Give Yunho a break, okay? these past couple of days have been very hectic. He's truly been looking forward to spending more time with you."

Jaejoong bit his lip in thought before sighing in defeat. "Alright, fine. I'll talk to him." That ended their brief conversation and then he was already walking to the door. Despite feeling pissed off, he still wanted this night to end on a happy note.

He grabbed the handle, pausing midway when he heard Yunho mumbling incoherently on the other side. He pressed his ear to the wooden door that separated them, smiling to himself as he heard the other talk to Yoochun in panic.

"Yoochun-ah, are you sure? what if he--yah! don't hang up on me!"

Despite knowing that Yunho was leaning against the door, he yanked it open with an evil snigger which sent the man tumbling backward, ending up on his back with his head just right before Jaejoong's feet. Yunho could only stare up at him in surprise.

Jaejoong's lip quirked seeing Yunho rubbing his head. He kneeled down, both hands cupping Yunho’s face and engaged him in an upside-down kiss.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, rubbing his nose against Yunho's.

"I'm sorry, too. But I'm pretty sure you did that one on purpose," Yunho groaned pulling Jaejoong back in for a soft press of their lips.

"Maybe." Jaejoong hummed into the kiss. Then patting Yunho's cheek, "Alright, get up now, big boy." But he was pulled forward by the hips. Jaejoong chuckled, shifting himself into an upright position so he was properly stretched on top of Yunho.

"Are you still mad at me?"

"Wanna guess?" Jaejoong nibbled Yunho's lips, pressing a line of kisses along his jawline.

Yunho grinned like someone with a schoolboy crush. "I really like it when you do that," he said while rubbing circles down Jaejoong's back.

"This?" Jaejoong happily pressed more slow chaste kisses around the same spots until Yunho turned to catch his lips, making him giggle as they met halfway.

Yunho ended it with a hearty smack on his boyfriend’s flushed cheek as he smiled up at him. "Oh right," he held his wrist up so the other could take a good look at how his present looked on him. "This is beautiful, Jaejoongie. I love it," he smiled.

Jaejoong's eyes lit up, immediately showing Yunho the other pair around his wrist. "I have one, too."

Yunho chuckled. "Couple bracelets, huh?"

"Yup! something to match the necklace you gave me." Jaejoong nodded, unconsciously touching the necklace around his neck as his thoughts went back to that special moment he shared with Yunho at Bora-Bora. He then inched his face closer as he whispered coyly, "You know, we could spend tonight watching our favorite movie.” And by that he meant making out on the couch like some horny teenagers.

"It’s very... very tempting, baby. But I actually have an idea," Yunho beamed rolling to the side as he sat up from the floor before stretching a hand out to help Jaejoong to his feet.

"Okay? tell me what’s more brilliant than sucking faces with me." Jaejoong stared at Yunho in innocent wonder as he was steered to their walk-in closet.

"I won’t tell you because then it won’t be a surprise! Just go get changed," Yunho said pushing him forward until he was standing in the middle of the massive room. "I'll bring you somewhere nice."

After a kiss on Jaejoong's forehead and a pat on the cheek, Yunho disappeared back into the living room leaving him looking confused as he fumbled out of his lounge wear.

“Jaejoongie!” Yunho called from outside. “Where did you hide that red photo album your mom gave me?”

“I don’t know. I think I shoved it under the bed,” Jaejoong answered through a muffled voice as he pulled a thick grey sweater over his head. “What for? are you perving on my photos again?"

Jaejoong heard a quick “Never mind, found it!” and “Hurry up!” as a reply making him mumble inaudibly to himself as he put on his black, puffy winter jacket.

When he was done changing, he walked out of the room and made a beeline to where Yunho stood by the door, fiddling with his phone.

“I’m ready.” He poked his back. "Where to exactly?"

Yunho grinned. "You'll see."

"I can't remember the last time I've been in one." Jaejoong said in awe as the cable car transported them towards Namsan. He peered through the glass, mesmerized by the 360-degree view of Seoul's skyline.

"Baby, look here."

Jaejoong turned to Yunho, startled when the camera flashed brightly on his face. He scowled thinking he had enough of bad photos for the night. "Stop it."

"Tch, put your beanie back on. It's cold." Yunho chided, forcing the black beanie on Jaejoong's head. He took another photo but the other was already preoccupied as he excitedly peered outside.

"Woop! we're here!" Jaejoong cheered.

Jaejoong allowed Yunho to drag him to wherever he was taking him. Upon reaching the base of the tower, he couldn't help but smile widely when he realized what Yunho had in mind.

"Aw, baby...” Jaejoong cooed. “Seriously?"

Yunho nodded as he dug into his jacket pocket revealing something that had Jaejoong shaking his head in amusement.

“Where did you steal that from?” he teased, a delighted grin showing on his face.

“I phoned the maintenance guy for a spare.” Yunho answered sheepishly. “Look, he gave me a double-hearts one when I told him what for.”

“Let's put it together." Jaejoong grabbed the other end as Yunho inserted the padlock amongst numerous love confessions decorating the fence.

“Ours looks the best, doesn’t it?"

Yunho grinned, pointing at their own 'Lock of Love’. It has their names written on it next to cute baby photos of them.

Jaejoong hugged Yunho from behind. "We've just leveled up in the super gay category, don't you think?" he laughed.

"Hey," Yunho scowled, playfully swatting Jaejoong's hand around his waist as he turned around to wrap the other in his own embrace. "Don't be mean. Can't you see I'm trying to make this night special?"

"I know baby. I know." Jaejoong comforted with a sly smile as he pulled away. "I'm kinda tired though. Where to next?" he said, lazily curling himself up on top of the bench.

"What are you talking about?” Yunho mumbled, pointing the camera at him. “We just got here."

Yunho rolled his eyes when all he got was a grunt and a muffled grumble of 'but I just wanna go home and make love to you'. He stared at Jaejoong's huddled form for a moment, his heart beating so fast in both excitement and nervousness. Walking closer, he pulled Jaejoong up and pressed him closely to his side.

"On your feet now, love. I know just the place."
