(no subject)
I am in the computer lab right now because my stupid computer broke. A virus corrupted the fact allocation table (FAT) on my hard drive, supposedly. So the Dell guy replaced the hard drive, and it still wouldn't work. Then he replaced the video card AND the motherboard, and it is still not working--it won't even boot from disk. That is very bad. Under the warranty, Dell has to send me a new computer if this tech comes for a third time and still cannot fix my computer. But in the meantime, I am without one, and it is the last week of classes and finals and I have term papers and exams and finals and I am going out of my mind. And it's a lot harder to talk to Mike because there is not really AIM. And I lost a lot of the stuff on my hard drive. GRRR!!!
But, in other news, I GOT AN APARTMENT FOR NEXT YEAR!!! Knock on wood. We applied and put down our security deposit. Mark, Adam, Amanda Li and I are all going to live in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at The Graduate, which is an apartment complex at Atherton and Beaver, across from the Atheron Hotel. It is going to be so awesome... I love my future roommates. I get to live with boys without LIVING with boys (as we will not be sharing bedroom or bathroom)... It's the perfect setup. Mark and Adam are my best friends here and I can't wait to live with them. And Amanda Li is awesome too :) I love that girl. I wish she didn't spend so much time killing herself in studio though (damn arch majors). So it's going to be great. And I will get to cook and clean and play house. And be independent. And all that fun stuff. Parking is expensive though. So at least I have that to look forward to - I am really excited.
Not much else is going on. Next semester I can look forward to Engl 413 (advanced poetry) and hopefully a fixed or new computer. And until then, I just have to get through finals. Wish me luck.
