switch!

Ok. I promise more stories from africa - but switch your brains to asia folks cause that's where we are in this moment. (and there is nothing but this moment hey?)

This morning a tiny man knelt at my feet, washed them and then bowing his head to my feet and gripping my toes he prayed in his own language. His hands grew warm (or were warm?) as he cried out to his God to bless my feet and the work that I would do in his neighborhood today. The room was thick with the spirit of the Living God, you could feel the holiness of the moment. It was palpable.

I do not deserve this life.

Then I went to a slum and did one of my favorite teachings - birth spacing - the importance of for the woman and the child. It was beautiful.

Later, I went to the supermarket and bought a new pair of sunglasses for about $2.40. Now I own two pairs of sunglasses - and on the way home from the store I felt dirty and materialistic. Weird.

materialism, beauty, asia
