Name: Terezi Pyrope
Age: 13
Canon: Homestuck
Canon Point:

History: Far away in another universe, on the planet Alternia, twelve children of an alien race of trolls played a very dangerous, complex and somewhat confusing game they called Sgrub.. Terezi is one of those trolls, originally the leader of one of two teams intended to compete against each other over who can win the game first, who then ceded her position in the face of whining from a friend. Although much of the troll's session of the game Sburb (which they called Sgrub) reminds unknown to the reader, Terezi was present throughout the entire game and survived to the very end, meaning she was there when everything went to hell in a handbasket as two sessions of the game collided and the trolls were forced into hiding.

Since then, Terezi has been lurking in the Veil, a series of meteors that play an instrumental part in the game mechanics, and has been "trolling" the human protagonists of the other session of the game, the one that ruined her own. Her influence has ranged from antagonistic and even somewhat sociopathic, such as convincing John Egbert to cheat and skip ahead to a point in the game he wasn't prepared to handle, and thus getting him killed in an offshoot timeline, to providing Rose with some information about game mechanics to helping Dave manage his time loops and guiding him through his portion of the game.

Extended history here.

Personality:
Out of all of the trolls, Terezi is possibly the most coy of all of them, but also the most manipulative. Not coy in the sense that she's modest, or shy, because Terezi is neither of those things- she can be entirely unsettling in just how direct she can be- but coy in the sense that even when she's trying to be helpful, she's always withholding details and pulling strings in some way. This doesn't always exactly go over well with the people she's trying to help, such as when she attempts to show Dave how to achieve the highest level possible in the game (God Tier) by setting up an entire scenario wherein one Dave, doomed to be part of an offshoot as a result of Dave's decision to want to know how to achieve God Tier, ends up...doomed to die, one way or another, which Dave doesn't take very well- rather than just telling Dave he would have to confront his own death in some way. This leads to her having to clarify sometimes when she's actually being serious and sincere about her statements, rather than stepping around a topic in some way.

Despite that, Terezi can be very helpful and friendly in her own way, and she does genuinely care for her friends, and she has very definite standards for what is and is not acceptable, although this doesn't keep her from being morbid and somewhat sociopathic herself. She very casually mentions that if she ever met John, she'd kill him, with no indication as to whether she meant it sincerely or as a joke, and she has no problems with killing people as long as it's for "justice." At the same time, she does say that she feels bad about accidentally getting him killed (since, from her perspective, she could see that he didn't die, which more or less meant it was an experiment on her part and she never truly intended to orchestrate his death), and later helps him in a more productive way by providing him with a map to the correct game objection. She does do her best to help Dave (while trolling him, of course, and making jokes about his coolkid status via art) and is genuinely distraught when the doomed Dave she set up to die gets murdered right before her eyes. She also wasn't too happy about Vriska manipulating Tavros, who she'd considered a friend, into jumping off a cliff during one of their roleplaying sessions, which led her to cut ties with her former friend and take revenge on Vriska. And of course, her trying to help doesn't stop her from being insulting at times to the people she's trying to help, or keep her from mocking them, although alternatively she can be so friendly as to border on the flirtatious, particularly at times with Dave, a fact other people (namely Karkat) are quick to point out. Karkat's also quick to point out that she's also trying to manipulate Dave even as she helps him.

Terezi, as is probably appropriate for the troll who carries the symbol of Libra, has a great fondness for justice, which is rather different on Alternia than it is on Earth (there are no defense attorneys, for example, only prosecutors) and seems to be fascinated by the idea of punishing bad guys- but only bad guys. Those guys, she's perfectly okay with offing, but she expresses disagreement with Vriska's tendency to just off anyone she could to feed her giant spider lusus/custodian, rather than people who have actually committed any crime. This fascination has led her to take an interest in courtroom dramas and investigations, which leads her to carry around the necessary items to carry out an investigation at any point in time. She's also very fond of dragons and carries around a bunch of dragon plushies called Scalemates (which she also uses in her courtroom dramas and her investigations, either as the victims which she sends to the gallows, or members of her forensics teams). Predictably, some of these habits are used to troll and annoy her friends, such as pretending that she thinks the scalemates are alive.

Since Vriska caused her to be blind, Terezi has moved through the world with the help of a cane and with the skills taught to her by her dragon lusus/custodian, which means that she is fully capable of smelling and tasting color in place of seeing the the world. This has led to some interesting and unsettling remarks on her part, as she constantly remarks on what things smell/taste like and has definite preferences for some colors, most notably red. Terezi really, really loves red. Some people get a little weirded out by the idea that she has to lick her computer screen to better "see" things, which she seems perfectly okay with it. However, she really has no problem with being blind and even thanks Vriska for it, as her accident was what caused her lusus to finally communicate with her.

Unlike many trolls, Terezi doesn't seem to pay much attention to the hemospectrum, the caste system among troll society based on one's blood color. Hers happens to be teal, which falls somewhere in the upper middle of the spectrum but isn't anything as great as having blue or purple blood. She has no problem befriending trolls lower than her on the spectrum, as evidenced by the way she casually roleplays with Nepeta (green) and her friendly relations with both Sollux (yellow) and Karkat (mutant red). While she expresses interest in people's blood colors, particularly Karkat's mutant bright cherry red, it doesn't seem to bother her at all, and likely her interest in it most has to do with her interest in colors- though rating Sollux's as "icky mustard" hasn't stopped her from being friendly with him.

Finally, though she's often been helpful to the human protagonists and friendly even with other trolls, Terezi does have a deeply morbid streak in her, and acts in ways at times that border on sociopathic. She frequently hangs her Scalemates at the end of all her courtroom dramas, resulting in a bunch of dragon plushies hanging from nooses all around her house. Rather than telling Dave he'd have to confront his death to reach God Tier, she chooses to show him, and she casually throws around threats of death when she first talks to John. She has no problem killing people or punishing them in her question to "orchestrate the demise of the wicked" and has absolutely no problems manipulating people to their deaths (which she used to do frequently in her roleplaying/FLARP sessions with Vriska) or manipulating them in general, even those she's friendly with.

Abilities:
Powers: As taught to her by her dragon custodian, Terezi is capable of smelling/tasting colors, and also less physical things like deceit, a skill which she uses in place of her sight.
Physical Abilities: Terezi is particularly adept at using her cane as a weapon, which, depending on which one she uses, either functions as a spear or a segmented nunchuck-looking weapon to wallop things with, or contains two swords that she's capable of wielding at the same time.
Mental Talents: As mentioned before, Terezi is very good at figuring out ways to manipulate people to do what she wants them to do, a particularly apt skill for her role in the game as the Seer of Mind. As the Seer of Mind, she describes herself as being capable of understanding the realities people would create if their thoughts lead to actions. This allows her to understand what people would do and the choices they would make "if [their] thoughts lead to action", although it is difficult to say if this is an actual power bestowed by the game (since she is careful to clarify that she isn't psychic, but does refer to it as a kind of "sight") or simply the product of her being very good at understanding people and what they might do already.

Ability Limitations: In a way, Terezi's blindness already limits her considerably, and her ability to see/smell color seems to be limited to closer distances without the help of her Smelloscope, as evidenced by the way she needs to use a cane to get around and needs to lick her computer screen to more clearly "see"/taste things. However, she won't be able to smell things like deceit anymore.

Weapon:
Name: Dragon Cane (never specifically given a name in canon)
Description: A cane with a red dragon head for a handle, used either as the walking cane Terezi has used since she was blinded or as a weapon. Contained inside it are two swords, one at either end of the cane, which she can use to fight with.
Abilities/Powers Neither the cane nor the swords have any special powers. They are just a cane, and swords.
Limitations: As these are only ordinary weapons, it's fully possible that they could, with enough force, be broken, or at the very least taken from her if she were overpowered.

Miscellaneous Items: A box of colored chalk, a few Scalemates in assorted colors, some powder for dusting for prints, a coin with a scratch on one side, a pair of red glasses and a teal and red roleplaying costume.
Appearance: As a young troll, Terezi is about 5'3", with gray skin, black hair and lips (with black lipstick), pointed teeth, and conical horns. Her eyes are also completely red as a result of the accident that blinded her. She typically wears a black T-shirt with the sign of Libra in teal, black pants, and bright red glasses.

In a human form, Terezi is about 5'3", with black hair, and completely white eyes as a result of being blind. She's pale skinned/Caucasian in appearance, and tends to indulge in black lipstick if she can, just the way she did back home.

Third Person Sample:

Terezi knew what death smelled like in many forms. She'd had the chance to sample the bouquet of scents it offered more than once- she knew how it smelled when someone had been fed to a giant spider and how it smelled when someone exploded into little bits and pieces of brightly colored grist and how fresh blood smelled on the floor after a murder. This wasn't any of those scents. This was different, like things left to lie out in the open exposed to the elements, pummeled by rain and nibbled at by the creatures that lived in the dirt just waiting for a meal.

She wasn't disconcerted to smell it when she woke up. She just didn't understand why. It required investigation.

With her cane conveniently close at hand, she proceeding to give the room a thorough examination. It only took a minute of searching to conclusively determine that this wasn't anything like the lab on the meteor she'd come from- the quality of the drab gray pavement smell was entirely different from the numerous metallic surfaces, and when she experimentally licked one of the walls, it was more like dirt than the sharp iron back at home. The cane made a different sound on the floor and the walls than it did back in the Veil. And the room was just small, which was unusual for the lab. Careful examination of one revealed it to not be a chest, but a small wooden box, with GRENADES printed on the side in bright licorice letters.

This was troubling.

More than a little troubling, really, because Terezi wasn't sure where exactly she was or what was going on. In theory this could just be another part of the meteor she hadn't explored yet, but that still raised uncomfortable question of where it was or how she got there. Vriska? Entirely possible, she supposed...but that raised the question of why, and when she tried to puzzle that out, there really was no reason for Vriska to just leave her in a room somewhere. At least not without waiting around to gloat about it as soon as she woke up.

Vriska probably wasn't an explanation for the noises from outside the room, either. Vriska never made noises like that.

The smell of rot and sickness hit her like a punch to the nose as she opened the door, dangerously close. Close enough that she felt fully justified in drawing the swords out of her cane, because every troll on Alternia knew that undead beings came out during the day. She'd never seen one of those beings, but she trusted that her nose knew exactly what they were.

Hacking and slashing at the rotted bodies, Terezi started to make her way out. To find Vriska, or at least some clue she could use. Whatever was going on here, Terezi Pyrope would sniff out the truth! Which hopefully would smell a lot better than the rest of this place. It would be nice at least if she could find some colors that didn't smell so yucky. Maybe she'd have to color with her chalk, later, give herself a break from all this mud and dirt and rot.

She even started to grin, walloping the last zombie casually on the head with her cane as she sheathed her swords. "Hehehehe-" And then she stopped. Poked her tongue around her mouth.

Why did she have flat teeth?
