So much for last year's resolution to write more in LJ. I think the truth is, LJ is no longer relevant because we have (or at least I have) a smaller community here than on Facebook. But, i do not post anything on Facebook either except photos- the community there is simply too large. Such difficult creatures we are. Or rather, I am.
Posting anything on Facebook these days seem to mean re-posting information that someone else has come up - almost inevitably. I mean, even Facebook has come up with a function to show and list how many people on your friend's list have re-posted the same thing! YouTube videos, a very cleverly written article, or a funny photo. Sometimes, even a comment, sentiment or a feeling doesn't feel so original anymore- by virtue of being on Facebook. I suppose this issue isn't new anymore. But Facebook has made this even more apparent, and even more so with Tumblr- it keeps count. Well, at least with the photos I took, I know someone else didn't do it but me.
While I justify myself about not writing anymore,I'm also wondering why i don't do some of the other things I used to do anymore. Like reading, drawing.. And even thinking about crazy things. I do mean the positive kind of crazy, akin to daydreaming. Different priorities.. And honestly, my life feels so cluttered. Not one moment of rest. Maybe that's why people talk about me-time all the time.
Maybe this year should be more about me. Memememememe! What i want, what I need, what's good for me, to plan ahead for the next few years. 2012 also feels like a prep year, the house, the wedding! All exciting, but hard work- mostly with the money, what with our financial plans all sorted for the next 3 years. Hah. And as far as I'm concerned, I know I'm operationally ready for any sort of event i need to plan for.
For the more specific goals:
1. Read more magazines
2. Imagine and think more
3. Draw more and write more
4. Eliminate bad typos from all documents
Fingers crossed. Holding my breadth for the rest of the year.
On a lighter note, things to look forward to in 2012:
1. Trip to Russia at the end of the year! Russia is a dream, a fairy tale!
2. Ivy's ROM n wedding! That should be fun!
3. Start of house interior planning! A little early I know. But it's becoming more exciting as the reality sinks in!
4. To make at least 2 exciting kick ass project happen!
5. Clar's non-competitive 2 year clause to be over! and we can whack the daylights out of some blooming idiots.
