....unless it's two chicks making out while they're on fire."
Hi there!
It's that time of week again..uh..thursday afternoon...So anyway, last friday I played away from home for once; and by that I mean went somewhere that wasn't the Bierkeller on a friday night! I met The Mistress of Moose(Anna) in Londoninit, to watch My Chemical Romance in Islington. Which was just swell! A really up for it crowd, and an energetic and entertaining band put a smile on my face. They crammed a load of my favourites into the hour slot (most songs aren't very long) and got that pesky single out the way first!
We drunkenly found our way to the purple turtle (where the singer was to DJ), which was very happy, but also pretty damn gay and not enough distorion on display. But twas very amusing and we got Head Automatica played, and as we were about to Leave I found
Sophie on a sofa, which was our first (brief) meeting! I got a hug and she floated over to the cloakroom to meet Anna, some drunken words were exchanged along with a our jug of cocktail, and we went off down the road to the electric ballroom....
...Which was the most awesome place! A great selection of metal, rock, grunge, alt etc with a bizarre hip-hop room at the top bit. There was twice as many people as the keller when it's full, and really hot cage dancers to admire(perv on). The only problem was the ridiculous london drink prices, otherwise I'd wanna go back there all the time. But I'll do that again soon anyway. Getting to kingston took 2 and a half hours and four busses, but people are amusing and london never seems to sleep.
By then my sick note had just run out, and I still hadn't worked since Christmas eve, but the 6 hour, multiple train journey home the next day ensured I still didn't go back til sunday!
It's february the 10th, and I'm broke again...ah well, to quote the familiar quote that me and Jack love so much: "If I had all the money I'd spent on drink...I would've spent it on drink."
There's food for thought there.
