Home for Easter... finally.

It has been a few years since I've gotten to spend Easter with my family. Last week I started thinking about how nice it would be to be back home eating food that I did not have to cook. Finding a decent flight was not easy since they are all so expensive. Luckily I found a way around this by taking a red eye the night before Good Friday. That day also happens to be my Dad's birthday, so my Mom and I decided we will surprise him by not telling him I'm coming home. This will be a pretty interesting occasion for my family because I don't think my Dad has ever been surprised, except perhaps on Christmas. Even then it is a rare event. As any parent would be, I'm sure he was always mildly worried about getting the "surprise, I'm pregnant!" or "surprise I married a convicted murderer!" from me, yet that has not happened. Not like being pregnant is a bad thing, but I don't think my Dad would be fond of me making babies right now. True, he did get the "surprise I'm in Tijuana right now with no passport or birth certificate" phone call a few weeks ago but he handled it pretty well. My Mom got pissed at me but Dad just laughed and said good luck getting back in the US, call us if you get stuck. So anyway, time to go play Call of Duty.
