Professor Chiba's Saturday

Feb 05, 2006 06:31

The atmosphere was the cold of morning, slowly becoming a warmer noon. Mamoru lay in bed with his sheets tossed about and disorderly, rubbing his eyes awake. He made it a point to make sure it really was his room and bed, and though he had yet to wake in anyone else's bed before, it was still best to make sure. That feeling everyone gets when they're being watched was the next thing he realized, but he was too sleepy still to question the person across his room, just as they were unlocking the door to leave.

Who is...that's not Kaiba, a student...not one I know...locked my door last night, didn't I?

The other thing he had done was set up the small table off to the side of his bed for two, ready for tea should Kaiba honestly be interested in any. All that was missing was the tea itself. He sat up, shirtless, as the student he thought he'd seen closed the door discreetly behind themselves. A figment of his sleepy mind, perhaps? It was better than waking up confused on the roof again, and quite a bit warmer. He eyed the digital clock, patting a pant leg.

A shirt would be nice before he shows up with the wrong idea.

With a wave of her hand behind her back, the door locked itself again with unusual quietness. It was simple magic of little notice in a building full of magic users enjoying their weekend. Not unlike the same "student" that arrived before Luna was attacked, they were quite generic and dressed in uniform, this one in a low pair of pigtails. Her aura, however, was mischief, not overtly malicious intent, and rather suppressed. The only suspicious thing about her was that she seemed to be almost attempting not to look suspicious, as to be forgotten upon leaving one's sight. Of course, any girl seen sneaking out of a male professor's room would more than likely be doing the same thing.

It wouldn't have taken a Seer or Prophet to know when Kaiba was coming, it being public knowledge. The girl turned her back away from the door to walk away as soon as he arrived to see it, straightening her skirt and hat a bit for show after her hand left the knob.

(OOC: Actually open to anyone with a reason to be on the third floor, I suppose.)
