Hiii. I love discovering new music and you have introduced me to so many awesome bands! (It's a wee bit difficult when one is all the way down under.)

If you wouldn't mind adding me as a friend? I will bake you lots of cookies :) Oh, and maybe do a few music posts every now and then on my journal too, to return the favour!

Hey, anyone who loves the Decemberists is ok by me. I added you. No need for cookies, but comments, requests, and posts are always welcome!

Oh yeah, the Decemberists rock my socks. They're coming to Australia for the first time ever in two weeks and I'm super excited to see them! What are some of your favourites (I won't ask you to name one because that is just impossible)?

I wonder if they'll do the complete Hazards and then a set of "favorites"? Good show in Boston.
Let me get back to you on the other - I'm heading to work.

Oh goodness, it's been a week. So back to one of my fave subjects: The Decemberists. I'm a queer gal but if I could marry a band...

Anyway, my faves go back and forth - I think they've all been faves at one point. But right now: Oceanside, California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade, Engine Driver, O New England, Crane Wife 1 & 2, and Hazards of Love 4. All over the place, eh? I need to post the singles series that has O New England - have you heard it?
Anyway, let me know what you like - I really appreciate input because it can be difficult to put these things together without knowing what your audience likes. :)

Ahh! I swear I didn't see that notification email sitting at the bottom of my inbox. Forgive me?

The Decemberists show was last week - and man I'm still reeling from it! After waiting six years for them to visit Australia, they did not disappoint. Colin is such a rock star :) The set was full of old favourites, which makes sense for their first non-festival show here. There was a new song from the upcoming album as well - it's awesome.

Speaking of favourites. Mine change quite often as well, but definitely The Engine Driver (it has a special place in my heart because it was the song that introduced me to them), Red Right Ankle, and We Both Go Down Together. And no, I haven't heard the singles series! May I request that for the next music stocking?? I'll love you forever.

There were some pics from Australia on their web site. Looks like they had fun - Colin stagediving - LOL!

So you're a Picaresque kind of gal. Great album. I'll work on the singles series - I also have some odd bits and live stuff that I'll post. They did some of the new stuff at Newport Folk and I really liked it.

Feel free to love me forever! :)
