Nature's way of saying..."Move on YO!"

Annoying crap that happened this week:

-The hotmail account I've had since I was 14 was hacked, and as a result EVERYONE I've ever e-mailed since 1994 got messages from "me" saying something about "my new video blog." When I first noticed, I was annoyed. But then, hours later, two major things occurred to me: (1)People that I know in a professional sense (who also know I'm starting film school soon) might actually think this e-mail was me soliciting for my "career"..knowing how annoying & unprofessional that is, I became really embarrassed; and (2) There are people in that address book that I haven't talked to in years, people that might not want to talk to me (or vice-versa)& the simple act of remembering that these people exist made me see that I've got some unfinished business...ugh.
*(I sent out the "I've been hacked" e-mail to everyone, but there's still a little sting of embarrassment...the grammar on some of those fake messages was AWFUL! :p)

-On Tuesday I got home & hung my purse up only to find one of the bug pins that adorned my purse for the last couple years had fallen off. This sucked. Then, on Thursday it happened again. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but these pins held lots of sentimental value for me and they're irreplaceable.

HOWEVER, by the end of the week I had calmed down enough to realize the helpfulness of these sorts of situations:

-A couple of the aforementioned peeps e-mailed my new gmail account and expressed friendliness and genuine good humor. This gave me a window to reply back w/proper apologies and explanations. No bitterness was exchanged, and I was reminded of all the things I loved about these people & why I called them my friends..this makes me a happy Smee. Also, I finally got to retire that craptacular user name: 'hope_hippie'

-As for the purse, I took it as a sign to get my ass in gear and finish the bag that I've been making for the last year. It has just as much sentimental value as the pins & it's way more practical.

* The next to go will probably be my car..it's kind of the last vestige of my past..I'm hoping it holds out a little while longer though
