Sailor Moon R movie VHS mail order watch: any info?
Hello everyone!
Back in high school (for me, your mileage may vary) the Sailor Moon movies came out on VHS. You could buy each movie dubbed in clamshell VHS cases (like what Disney movies would usually come in) and the subtitled versions on tapes with cardboard slipcases. Most of you have seen these.
With the R dub, there was a special mail order offer for a watch. I send in my order form and some money, but it was so late in the game that they had no more, and I was send a Right Stuf catalogue that was equivalent to my shipping costs instead.
I've been dying to find and possibly own this watch, even more so recently. I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE online. I can't even find a pic so I know what I'm looking for again.
After all these years, while I still have the very beat up Right Stuf catalogue as a relic, somehow both my R VHS tapes are missing. Both of my S and SuperS are still there, so I don't know where they ran off to.
This is relevant because I don't have any proof of what the watch looked like, assuming I still would have the paperwork, again assuming only part of it needed to be sent away.
I'm not even sure if the watch was ever truly produced now, to be honest. Or maybe if it was sent out, the image used was a prototype never produced and it looked completely different than what was mailed out. I vaguely recall it was Promise of the Rose themed. I think it had Mamoru's life giving kiss on the watch face.
Can anyone help me with any info at all? I see lots of pics of the VHS tape, but none of the watch giveaway. And typing Sailor Moon WATCH is very tricky without extraneous keywords. XD
