1. How long have you been collecting Sailor Moon items?
I've been seriously collecting Saturn for about five years.
2. How many items are in your collection?
Around 30 items or so, not counting cards, seals, books, cels, and cosplay items.
3. Do you keep your items in the box or are you a ‘de-boxer’?
I used to de-box, but thanks to my Japanese Saturn dolls and their beautiful boxes, I've stopped. (I really regret taking my Irwin Saturn out of her box now!)
4. How do you display your collection?
On an Ikea Billy bookshelf, behind glass doors.
5. What was the first piece that started the whole thing?
An Irwin Sailor Saturn chibi figure, and then the Irwin Sailor Saturn doll were my first Saturn items.
6. What is your favorite/most treasured/meaningful piece in your collection?
I absolutely love my Excellent Sailor Teame Saturn doll, she is absolutely gorgeous. It's so hard to choose from all my items, actually, I love them all so much. And every single cel has a story behind them and I cherish them as well.
7. What is your most desired collection piece that has yet to be acquired?
A prototype Irwin 11'' Sailor Saturn doll. Also, rare Hotaru/Saturn cels. XD
8. What is your favorite category (dolls, cels, etc) for collecting from and why?
Dolls and figures I love the most, they're so meticulously detailed and so beautiful. I also now collect cels, and I absolutely love them.
9. Is there any item/character that you wish had been made into a toy?
Definitely a fourth Talisman item: Sailor Saturn's Silence Glaive. I also wish for a separate Hotaru Mugen uniform for a doll, or an outright Hotaru doll.
10. Where do/did you find most of the items in/for your collection?
Yahoo Japan and eBay.
11. What is the greatest length you have gone to for a particular item?
I've pretty much had to fight tooth and nail for nearly every item in my collection, actually.
12. What is the most expensive item in your collection?
The four Outers Musical doll set, followed by Excellent Sailor Teame Saturn and prototype Irwin Adventure Doll Saturn, not counting cels.
13. What was the best bargain you’ve ever managed to get?
A (previously) boxed Irwin Sailor Saturn for $20 at a store back in 2001 or 2002. I also bought a Sailormoon World Mini Collection Saturn doll for $30, right before they began skyrocketing.
14. How do you feel about bootlegs?
I dislike bootlegs, but in the case of Sailor Stars subs, that's an example of where you don't really have much of a choice.
15. Do you have plans to sell your collection in the future?
No way! I don't collect for value or money, but for love.
16. Do any of the items in your collection have a neat story behind them?
My Irwin Saturn Adventure Doll prototype was bought by the seller I bought her from directly from an Irwin warehouse in Canada. She was also taken to various anime and toy shows by that seller and displayed. And as I said above, every cel in my collection has a story.
17. What do your friends/family think of your hobby?
My family thinks I'm kinda crazy, but don't otherwise think much of it.
18. Do you collect anything else, or just Sailor Moon related items?
I collect Pokemon toys as well, specifically Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Absol, and Shaymin Land Forme.
19. What do you think the lowest quality/least desired kind of Sailor moon
item is?
The Bandai/Irwin American Adventure Dolls, the old design ones, seem to not be that popular or well thought of.
