Sports Banquet, College Apps, etc.
I went to the WJ Sports Banquet tonight (or should I say yesterday). I miss cross country now!! Despite the daily hour and a half practices, it was actually really fun, with all the meets/races and everything. I'm gonna miss having Mr. Dunston and Mr. Martin as coaches....well, at least until spring comes, then I'm going to be on Track & Field!! Plus Mr. Dunston is in Ski Club, which is what I'm gonna be doing this winter. I can't wait until I get to snowboard again!!
I'm glad I'm not doing indoor track though, because that would have been too much for me, especially at a time like this with all this college application stuff going on. Oh, I finally finished my UMCP and George Mason apps!! Both due December 1. Haha talk about waiting for the last minute. I actually submitted the GM one at 11:55pm before the due date. That was fun, writing an essay in 15 minutes about my "academic accomplishments and leadership abilities." It doesn't really matter though because it's pretty much an easy school to get into. I also already sent in my apps for San Diego State, Penn State, SUNY Stony Brook, and Northern Arizona. I actually already got into Northern AZ, so that's good. My USC app is due in 10 days, December 10, which is also the day I'm taking the ACT. I really hope I get into Maryland though, that would be awesome if I did. I wouldn't have to worry about the cost, that's for sure. No paying off college debt for like 20 years after. I hope, I hope, I hope!!
On another note, I gotta stop procastinating. I need to go read like 30 pgs of Cat's Cradle for an English quiz tomorrow. Oh, and I have sooo much homework to do through the next 2 weeks. Urhhh....and a physics test on phriday. Ooh and this weekend I may be going to this Color Guard/Drill thing at Fort Pickett, VA. I'm either doing that or just having a practice on Saturday. I can't wait! And then we have 2 soccer games that night, practicly in a row (with dinner in between), and we finally get our trophies from winning our division during fall!! Yay!! =D
