See - even your icon is laughing at me. When I walked out of the 'beauty room' with my hair re-done and still naked under the robe and the girl said, "Oh, no - you can get dressed now..." I felt like a complete moron!
Moisturized? Is that the same as feeling slimy because I'm feeling slimy.
See now---that's why I won't do the beauty day thing. If there's gonna be that much *naked*, there damned well better be a cock involved somewhere!
And all that touching? Again, the estrogen factor would be a no-go for me. Long facials make me nervous. But I could sit forever with the getting of the manicure and moisturizing of the hands. That, to me, is pampering because my hands are always busy.
With the facial - after I realized she was removing my makeup - I kept wondering if the weird smelling stuff was going to make my face break out. That would be all I needed - 39 again with a face full of zits.
Naked and I don't always get on. Spa Days seem interesting. I'll have to think twice before I do that! If you were a guy I bet they'd ask if you wanted a massage "with" or "without"!
There's a comedian I really like - Bill Engvil who does a whole skit on getting a massage and there's one line that I actually thought of... when she's massaging *back there*, Bill says, "Gee, I hope I don't fart..." Yeah - I thought of that line at that time. Not that I had to ya know, but because what else could I think about while some stranger is *there*?
Uhm. Hi. I'm resurfacing to say Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you have a great year with limited pain and many happy days!
Sorry for the delay. I was seriously dead yesterday after getting up at 5.45, a 1 hour trip to the city, 9 hours of work, a 1 hour trip back followed by 2 hours spent groceries shopping. Not to mention that I had to get up this morning at 5.30. *is dead*
Honestly? That's a strange kind of spa. I'm also not big on the being naked business, esp. in front of complete strangers! I do hope you left at least a little bit relaxed.
Good luck with the hospital on Friday, I hope all goes well *hugs*
Wow? Your day? Not so great. Mine was interesting and makes for some fun stories since I did survive it and did find some joy (?) in it -- the lunch was good. Thanks for the happy, though.
