So on Sunday, Theresa and I met with one of Theresa's, mom's, book club friends who just so happens to be a professional kilt maker. It was just a short drive to Mississauga, just off Erin mills. She sat down with theresa and I at her home and went over everything with us. How the kilt will be pleated, the type, width, and distance between each buckle, how she would line it, it was fantastic.
She's ordering Theresa's tarten online which will be used in the creation of her skirt and corset and she's then picking up my Antrim County tarten in person when she heads out to Scotland in march. She's also offered to alter my Prince Charlie jacket which i need to stop by Hector Russel and pick out.
Best part, Theresa's folks are covering the cost of our outfits. Not having to pay for essentially two custom outfits is a massive financial weight off our shoulders. I can't wait until it's done.
wouldn't it be nice if everything was this easy.
