first off, a few things...

my parents graduated from penn state in the spring of 76 and got married that october. they've been together for over 30 years now.

i just graduated in december and I'm getting married in september - josh is finishing his degree next december, 3 months after our wedding. i have friends finishing grad school in may that are getting married in august... the whole getting married soon after finishing school isn't uncommon these days at all...

I'm still working my college job and ive been too distracted with wedding stuff to really bother working on my resume and other job-hunt related stuff? oh and my lease is up in May and I need to figure out where I'm living in a few months too...

as for the insurance thing... i recall my parents saying that once you turn 23, the only way you can stay on their insurance is if you're a student and still dependent on them (dunno what you're situation is) - i know this, because the day after i graduated I had to take out a short term health insurance policy to hold me over until june, with the intent that ill have a job with health benefits by then (and if not, I get put under josh's health insurance he gets thru UPS in september). and i know my dad said the car insurance company won't let me stay on the policy once it's up in june as well since im no longer a student and im not living at home.

dunno what she was trying to say about the counseling part - from what ive heard, read and personal experiences, if you're getting married in a church, most of them require you to do some sort of pre-martial counseling, either with your officiant or a program they offer thru the church itself.

if ya need any help with anything, lemme know, as I'm planning for September myself - we're meeting with the DJ's tomorrow, I'm working on my Save the Date magnets this weekend, got my dress last week and booked the reception and church a few weeks ago.
