Ok, conundrum time here.
A week on sunday is the 60 aniversary of the Normandy landings. There are lots of things happening that weekend, party wise here I mean. I may not be able to get time off work. I probably wouldn't be able to get anywhere to stay in Normandy I'd probably feel awkward being there (I didn't take part...). It'd cost a fair bit.
But I sort of want to go. It was a defining moment in history. The veterans that will be there will not be around for much longer. It'd be nice to show that the event is rememberred (I use the word advisedly) by a generation other than that which took part.
Although the two are unbalanced and I can't really think how to explain why I want to go... they balance out. I can't decide.
