I can't remember a time that i was not going to school. As much as I complain about school, I really love going. I can't believe that in 4 months I will have to find a job, and since the economy has been in the shitter it probably won't even be a good job. Or even a job in my field. It just seems like in economic bad times jobs in public relations and advertising get cut. I am going to miss summer vacations. Of course I worked, but summer jobs were always a break compared to working part time/taking 15 credits.
See, I want to go to graduate school. Hell, getting a doctorate sounds tempting too. But the truth is, I'm not ready to pick something to study all hardcore for that amount of time. I want to make sure that I pick something that I am very passionate about before I make the leap into a graduate program. I feel that working in one of the fields I am supposed to be qualified in, I will be able to decided something that I would like to study, and certainly weed out things that I would never want to study in a zillion years. So it all comes down to:
I am just not ready
Funny enough, I have considered some random things to get a graduate degree in. Student Personal Administration being one of them. I love college so much that I'd actually consider working at one. I would also love to be a college instructor. So then I'd really have to go into some communication-based master's program. And of course, there is ALWAYS the study of Rhetoric/Rhetorical Criticism. I keep that one in the back of my head. As much as I love picking apart things, and talking shit about Bush's use of rhetoric, writing a 100 page paper on one little thing, like a short speech sends chills down my spine.
Or maybe I should just knit sweaters full time??
