This year Anime Expo isn't as great as the last two years. Probably had to do with the lack of any events that interested me. (Morning Musume? Vamps? Eh, thanks but no thanks) So I mostly wandered around Exhibit Hall and watched some flicks they were showing in some of the video rooms. I ended up watching Chocolate and Toward the Terra; both films I enjoyed.
Chocolate was done by the same director/choreographer behind Ong Bak I believe and featured a female actress playing a autistic chick brutally kicking ass.
Toward the Terra...I've always wanted to get into Keiko Takemiya's works so I decided to take them showing it as a chance to check it out... I reeaally need to get my ass off and get the original manga. Watching Toward the Terra reminded me so much of how my art style is very retro and closer to the Shoujo style in a way. It's definitely something I don't mind now but I'm pretty sure my younger self would not stand for that. : d
Other stuff down the road before and after Comic-con which I'm attending the first time on Friday.
