Fate works in mysterious ways
Kelley takes me to the airport where i do the usual check-in jank. Apparently i am the last one to check-in, the reason i know this shall be givin in a few moments.
To allow kelley to the concourse, they give her a fiance's pass (which i hear never happens).
Upon our arrival to the concourse, i do my usual routine of sitting down while paying attention to nothing. Then i hear kelley mention that i should do something. I listen to the pa system and hear that someone needs 1 ticket to detroit and as bonus they offer whichever flight i want to take to detroit as well as a $300 voucher to use on any flight i want within the next year.
so i get up and offer my ticket. so now there are two bonuses, one extra day with kelley (my new flight leaves tomorrow) and a free flight to visit her again whenever i feel like it.
now the weird part
as i am talking to the lady about choosing my next flight out of charleston a security man walks up
security man- Is there a christopher hall on the plane?
Me- I'm christopher hall
SM- You know you left your bags at the check-in counter
Me-What?
SM-Your bags at still at the ticket counter
Me- Oh, (totally confused) well i am not on this flight anymore
SM-It doesn't matter, you still have to move your bags
so i get back to the ticket counter to collect my bags and collect my free ticket. I come to find out that my bags were checked and it wasn't my fault that my bags were still sitting at the counter, the lady at the ticket counter took off before security checked my bag and shut down the ticket area until the next flight. Had i gone on this flight home, as planned, my bags would still be in charleston, south carolina until lord knows when.
but instead, because kelley was allowed into the concourse with me, i was able to spend an extra day/night with her, received a $300 voucher, and did not lose most of my clothes.
