Sorry for all these short updates. I just found out some GREAT news. My mother got some genetic testing done and found out that she is negative for the breast cancer and ovarian cancer genes! This means that I am negative too!! So basically, even though these cancers run in our family, the gene did not get passed on to my mother...which means that my sister and I don't have the gene either so all three of us have the same chances of getting these cancers as the general population. This is very good news and I'm very happy and grateful!
