I've missed everyone so much!!!
I've been so sick I couldn't stand to be online at all. Just looking at the screen could make me nausea. I'm doing better now it's not a constant everyday thing anymore thank goodness. It got so bad I had to go to the ER and get fluids. I never imagine something like that happening.
We've found out that we are having identical twin girls! That's why it didn't matter that twins don't run in the family since I'm having the spontaneous kind.
We've had some troubling news over the last two months though. We've found out we are having
Monoamniotic-Monochorionic Twins. It's not always easy for people to understand but it means my babies are in the same sac and sharing a placenta. So basically the babies have nothing separating them from each other. Their cords can get tangled, knotted or compressed. It's considered to be one of the most high-risk pregnancies you can have. I'm seeing a specialist and I've starting getting ultrasounds every week.
I found out last week that at 28 weeks (March 7th) I will be admitted to the hospital for constant monitoring and hopefully won't deliver until 34 weeks. Thirty-four weeks is still early but is what they recommend for mono/mono twins. If the docs wait much longer than that to take them the babies will get bigger and the risk of cord compression rises greatly.
So come March 7th I'll probably be online everyday bored out of my mind but it's whats best for the girls.
